Cafe Root — Restaurant in Kirklees

Please go here. The place is so good. The food is super tasty and they make it look amazing. Went here many times and it never disappoints. The coffee tastes lovely and the cups are compostable!! And they had good gluten free options! The only issue is that the place is kinda tiny even if it looks beautiful. This only really became an issue with their bathroom which is super cramped. The only other issue that i could kinda argue is that the place felt very LGBT. Such a hidden gem of a place, a cafe that exists alongside a pilates and yoga studio that doesn't mind if you are or aren't a yogi. The food is amazing. The avocado or gravalax open sandwiches are delicious, I've had amazing soups with chunks of sourdough, Greek salad, or the Greek pie I won't try to spell (the one with spinach and feta). Really enjoyed our breakfast trip here, I had the avocado toast which was extremely tasty accompanied by a vanilla oat milk latte. The space is small but it wasn't too busy when we visited so not an issue, a really nice atmosphere overall... my only complaint would be that the smoke alarm went off and they couldn't switch it off until someone arrived to fix it! Not ideal but fortunately did not spoil...
