Grappolo Restaurant — Restaurant in Kirklees

​I've heard the phrase "service personified" before, but I've never seen it in action quite like this. After a tough day at work, my partner and I chose Grappolo, and I'm so glad we did. The food was absolutely wonderful—easily one of the best Italian meals I've had in the UK. But honestly, even if they had served us a pile of burnt toast, I'd still be writing this review because of the service. ​The team was unbelievably quick and efficient, yet they managed to make the entire dining room feel so warm and welcoming. There was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, even with a couple of birthdays happening. One waiter, in particular, was a real character; he made the birthday celebrations a memorable event, running around with a hot pink cowboy hat, and playfully getting the celebrants up for a little dance. It was all done in a way that was fun and charming, adding to the great atmosphere without ever being over the top. ​Grappolo isn't just a place to eat; it's a place where you can unwind and feel completely looked after. It's that perfect blend of top-notch food and service with a genuinely friendly, relaxed vibe. We'll be back...

Had a really good experience here.

There is a customer car park and wheelchair access to the building.

We went on a hot day and and was seared near the kitchen service area but the air conditioning keept the restaurant nice and cool.

The staff a friendly and attentive without being over burdening, and were exceptionally good with our toddler.

The restaurant is able to cater for vegetarian, vegan and omnivore diets. They have a good selection of wines, lagers and spirits at the bar, I didn't notice any ales, but that is probably my lack of observation.

We had starter, main and desert with the toddler having the childrens option of main and desert. We were given the option to have the toddlers main servers with out starter which was good. All of the food was well cooked and brought to the table in a timely fashion.

We considered the prices reasonable. The 3 of us had food and drinks and the final bill was a little under £100. There was no discretionary service charge which some restaurants are now adding for no good reason, this isn't the US.

All in a really lovely place and will continue to happily give...

Wow! Just wow! This is the first time we'd been to Grappolos with our children and the first time we'd been back in many years due to moving etc. but we had an amazing evening.

When we arrived at 6pm on a Sunday it was heaving which is always a good sign but we were quickly seen to and taken to our table. It was nice to see plenty of attentive and busy staff all with smiles on their faces and showed a real comradery to keep everything ticking over smoothly.

We had a selection of pizza and pasta which was all perfectly cooked and fresh, couldn't fault it.

What really stood out was the service and the staff. Our main server was Calo who kept a check on us all but more importantly the kids who he encouraged to eat and kept them entertained. Bobby even made our little one a rose from a napkin which was impressive but just a lovely touch.

The kids had a great night and truly enjoyed themselves which in turn ensured we had a good night too.

I cannot wait to go back again, what a wonderful family...
