KFC — Restaurant in Kirklees

Well we never learn do we. Wanted a quick snack so pulled into the car park and opened the app to look at the "menu" and see if there was any special offers. To start with both our phone said we were at different kfc's than the one we were at. So wasted time sorting that out. We then looked at special offers which we found were either for home delivery or min order charge. This is not obvious untill you read small print. (2nd waste of time) we then tried to order from the drive thro' but app only let us order eat in or takeaway. (3rd waste of time) In end gave up on app and ordered by driving into drive thro'. Went to pick up food asked why drive thro option wasn't working. Got told "isn't it? Oh, maybe that is why everyone who has gone thro the drive thro today has given a collection code and I've had to go to the counter and get it". We would have ordered an ice cream (crushem I think they called it) but that didn't appear to be available. We assume they have given them up because the machines were always broken anyway. Where do I start. Been here about a dozen times. There is a 70% chance your food is cold or lukewarm. The food certainly is not freshly cooked. Its 50/50 if they get your order right (they will often miss something). The smell of old used cooking oil is evident when driving through. The worst part is the cleanliness. If you see the back kitchen it looks filthy, if you drive through - take a good look at the kiosk - completely covered in filth and some of the staff look like they haven’t washed their uniforms in weeks. Staff are otherwise very polite and probably just as frustrated as to how the place is badly managed. Have to say one lad seems to be on a power trip when taking orders. Albeit that there are problems with delivery. And that most of the order is not available. There is no excuse for the food that is available for consumption to be so poorly presented. In the case of fries.. Stone cold. The burgers not to have the toppings applied and those that did majority must have missed because there was a couple of strands of lettuce and no sauce. 3 sachets of salt for a family bucket and additional boxed meals. Ultimately 7 of us were so disappointed we ended up leaving majority of it. Shame as we have enjoyed KFC in the past. Oh and on a previous visit I found that the colonel club scanning isn't available through drive through.
