Our visit to this restaurant was not just underwhelming but utterly disappointing. To make matters worse, this restaurant had a previously good reputation, and we had high hopes for our dining experience.
We had reservations for a party of three and were initially informed of a 40-minute wait. However, it took nearly an hour before we were finally seated. The frustration was palpable.
Once seated, it took an exorbitant amount of time for a server to provide us with menus. The real nightmare began when we tried to place our order; we had to chase down the staff to take our order, which was incredibly frustrating.
To our disbelief, we overheard the staff discussing that they were unprepared for the number of customers that day and expected service times to exceed an hour for everyone. This became glaringly evident as 90% of the tables around us remained empty of any food.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was nothing short of dismal. Many patrons were visibly unhappy due to the prolonged wait for their meals. When we finally managed to place our order, it felt like a minor victory. However, our triumph was short-lived as moments later, another staff member informed us that they had run out of the main menu item, leaving all of us without any food.
Our frustration was further compounded when we struck up a conversation with another customer who revealed that they had received incorrect orders. It was a stark reminder of the restaurant's incompetence.
The only bright spot in this bleak experience was the fact that, as a Muslim establishment, they played nasheeds. Additionally, the waiters did make an effort to offer smiles, but their efforts were overshadowed by the numerous wrong orders and the fact that people had been waiting for over an hour for their food.
In the end, we were left with no choice but to leave the restaurant, famished and infuriated, after being told they had run out of the main food item. This ordeal wasted an hour and a half of our time.
Considering this restaurant's once-esteemed reputation, our hopes were high. Regrettably, our experience shattered those hopes. We earnestly hope they can rectify these glaring issues and restore their former glory. However, based on our recent visit, it's hard to envision a return...
Read moreI was thinking of going to the Batley branch but then was recommended to go to the Huddersfield one instead as I was driving past and became curious. The location is spot on and there's dedicated parking for customers at the back as the building seems to be an ex pub. Th decor inside is welcoming and the staff are very friendly. During our dining experience the staff kept on asking if everything was OK with the food and even before we left the Manager wanted feedback and I gave him my honest opinion.
I am not a big fan of beef steaks but I like my chicken fillet burgers. I ordered a Big Daddy burger, Angus beef burger and 2 chicken steak meals for the family. Portions were decent but I was disappointed with the chicken burger I ordered. It was a chicken fillet burger, with pulled lamb and hash brown. It seemed a bit dry inside so I had to use a lot of mayonnaise and chilli sauce that they already have on all the tables. The size of the chicken fillet wasn't very big and did not fill me up for a £9.99 burger. My daughter did enjoy the Angus beef burger though. The feedback from my family for the chicken steak meal was that it was just simple and did not pack any flavours although the mushroom and pepper corn sauce was nice. I know it sounds critical but just being honest as I have had better chicken steaks and fillets from other places.
We also ordered some cheesy nachos but were expecting a cheese sauce all over but instead just got melted grated cheese which was disappointing. We did feed this back to the staff and they did take it on board.
We loved the location as there's plenty of parking and the atmosphere was very family friendly. I would recommend others to try for themselves as it's worth visiting but the wow factor on this occasion wasn't...
Read moreQuite disappointed with the food and drink here. Firstly I have never in my life had an Angus burger that looks like a moulded burger from a supermarket. The burger I’m afraid and in my honest opinion is NOT Angus beef. If it is I don’t know where you are buying your meat as EVERY other steakhouse no matter who is running this specific type of establishment burgers are actually hand pressed and actually look like and taste like burgers. The manager tried to tell us that this is what Angus beef tastes like when I don’t think he has even tried his burger. We were charged £2 for a can of fake tasteless cola which we looked at and found these cans are around 46-59p per can so £2 for that is an absolute rip off . My partner ate one bite out of her burger and physically could not eat anymore as the taste and texture to a “Angus hand pressed burger” was disgusting. Clearly not Angus beef or hand pressed. The chips tasted like chips you thrown in your own freezer at home nothing special at all. My meal the big stack was ok apart from the burger itself. It’s just clearly not Angus hand pressed beef. Upon leaving absolutely no attempt was made to offer any sort of discount to the bill as the food was really not up to standard. If you want to eat burgers and have them taste like burgers this is really not the place to go. I’m now put off the Bison brand and will not visit this establishment again and due to the customer service and being ripped off I will actively encourage others not not dine here. Help goes a long way and you guys...
