Maxis Balti and Pizza Bar — Restaurant in Kirklees

I’ve been a regular at this takeaway for a while, grabbing a burger once a week, and I’ve always enjoyed their food—great quality and solid value. However, my recent experience ordering a pizza left me feeling disappointed and a bit ripped off. I ordered a pepperoni pizza, which was priced at a reasonable £8.10. When I asked if it came with onions, the staff informed me it comes with green peppers but they could add onions. I said I wasn’t fussed about the peppers and confirmed I wanted onions. Fair enough, I thought. But when I arrived to collect, the price had jumped to £10. While £10 for a pizza isn’t outrageous, the £1.90 extra for adding onions felt like a sting, especially when I was told I could’ve swapped the peppers for onions at no extra cost. That lack of clarity upfront was frustrating and added insult to injury. To break it down, the £1.90 extra for onions represents a 23.46% cost uplift on the original price, which seems steep for a simple topping addition. The pizza itself was decent, but the unexpected surcharge and the feeling of being nickel-and-dimed soured the experience. I’ll probably stick to my usual burger next time, as the value and consistency there are spot-on. Hopefully, they can be clearer about extra charges in the future to avoid leaving customers feeling...

Totally ripped off by these...bank hol comes and they can not handle the paise...i placed an order which was for delivery an hour passed and still no food came i then phoned in to say tht I wud go and collect...after waiting in the shop I finally got my food then came home to find that the 2 large chicken tikka on a nann tht I ordered was in fact a small tht was on a pitta not a nann...i phoned up again to let them know that the order was wrong and got nowhere...so in i fact paid 14 pound for a small wen I was supposed to get a large...from the fone call the guy who was the manager did nothing about it even though I've been ripped off....i used to order alot from there and after todays experience I will never order from here again....if ur reading this review consider this before ordering from here...rip offs...

Not usually our go to place for a curry but thought we would try for a change. We ordered the onion bhajis which were like flat, tasteless pancakes. We always share a simple korma curry between 2 and have to say it was the most tasteless korma we have ever had and even had a slight taste of hot cheese. Overall with disappointing pickle tray, rainbow looking pilau rice and average poppadoms, we agreed this was a very bad curry takeaway and will be sticking to our usual takeaway down the road for a curry moving forwards. £26...
