China Star — Restaurant in Knowsley

The worst Chinese food I have ever eat in my life. I ordered the salt and pepper combo and it tasted and smelled like wet dog. The pork sui mai wheres absolutely disgusting and should not be consuming by anyone, the spring rolls tasted like perfume, the ribs where hard and battered, the singapore fried rice was way to spicy and had a weird lavender taste. The only food that was ok was the chips. I ordered 2 mains and told her no starters and she still brought the salt and pepper combo out as a starter and fried rice as a main.

Over £70 in food and drinks, ended up getting £36 taken off the bill but even this wasnt enough, should of got a full refund. Had a chippy from the Chinese near mine the next day and it absolutely S** all over this place. Really disappointed, will never return...

Ordered takeaway last evening of 14.05.2020. We spent £45 plus. The soup was like water and tasteless. The chicken in the meals was so dry it was getting hard to swallow. The shredded beef was like cardboard. The only part of the meal that we did enjoy was the appetisers. We have always used this restaurant to eat in for many years, but for past year, we have tried several times eating in and have also been disappointed. But still returned to give it another chance. Placed phone order. Food came freezing cold some of the order was burnt. I rang up to which I requested refund or new food. He said I had to go in to collect it as his driver was 2 hours before delivery. Disgusting the way the manager spoke to me to be honest. Saying it wasn’t his problem if I didn’t like his food.
