A modern out of town pub set in a trading estate. Spacious and uncluttered. At 5pm on Sunday it was pretty full, pre-booking recommended. Most people seemed to be using the app to place orders, so we used that method. The app was a bit clunky. As we were a party of six there was a lot to enter. After entering a number of items we realised we'd ordered a drink twice. But, although items can be changed, it proved impossible to get to the drinks section of the order to change it. This was because once the list gets to a certain size, you can't fully scroll it from top to bottom. The only way we could make the change was to remove a few items from the top so that we could scroll right down. After making the changes we then had to add back the items we'd removed. This is pretty unimpressive for an app produced by a large brewery chain. The drinks arrived after about 15 minutes, which is a bit slow - generally drinks arrive pretty fast, I guess to keep the clientele content while waiting for the food. The food arrived after another 15 minutes, which is not bad giving that the place was pretty much full. It would have helped if the reception staff mentioned the likely waiting time on arrival, many tables were getting a bit irritated at the wait. The food was very good - standard pub items but very well cooked and presented. My fish was cooked to perfection, crisp batter but tender flaky fish. The chips in the triple-cooked style were also very good. All in all we were very happy with our visit, and the staff, though a bit short on numbers, were friendly and helpful. I'd certainly come here again, maybe at a...

Read moreVisited for a Sunday roast. Firstly sat by the toilets in the corner where people walked past every two minutes and the door was horrendously squeaky and annoying and around the table was full of bits of food that obviously hadn’t been cleaned up. Not a very warm welcome tbh! Asked for a move and was moved to a different area of the pub, with a little issue as they didn’t want to move us. Firstly ordered Nachos-: nearly ten pound for normal nachos which was covered in “squirty nacho sauce” and not real cheese. Just a disgrace! Ordered 2 turkey roast dinners and unfortunately the quality got worse! All of the roast dinner apart from the meat was obviously cooked from frozen. Frozen roast potatoes, packet mash, frozen veg and £12.95 for a dinner that was served with mainly cheap frozen food! The whole experience was awful, food was awful and the staff were not bothered apart from the guy behind the bar who was friendly and accommodating! Dinner wasn’t served very professionally and no one checked on food quality at all. In my opinion I have just wasted nearly £45 on a frozen substandard dinner and we felt like they couldn’t wait for us to go! Not a good experience. What has happened to this once lovely pub! Wanted to speak to a manager but told no one available at that time...
