Visited early afternoon midweek. After ordering had to choose the least dirty table to sit at whilst 4 out of 5 members of staff stood behind the bar chatting away with another guest (think it was a friend or another colleague who wasn’t on shift) and the server who took our order made our food for us. Eventually our drinks were ready shortly followed by the food. We sat and enjoyed our hot food. The drinks were mediocre for the price. We were in store for around 20/25 minutes and the same dirty tables were still dirty by the time we were leaving, only one other couple had been served after us in this time and a few on the drive thru. Not one of the 5 staff members even acknowledged the messy front of house. I know it’s a chain and they aim to keep costs low and probably don’t pay their staff great but there was ample staff available to keep on top of the seating area and the whole service experience just felt very robotic and stale. Read moreI’ve just been in the drive through was spoken to over the intercom very abruptly waited 20 + mins got to the till and paid £40 for a £19.85 bill as we has no change. The girl on the till couldn’t do maths and gave us 3 different totals for the amount due. Then gave us £0.15p change and took the £40.. when we asked her for the £20 back she looked oblivious. I had to park up and go back in once we checked the receipt. When I went in I kindly asked for the £20 The girl that served us was more than happy to sort it out, but one of the other girls was very quick to be passive aggressive and making remarks under her breath and when I called her out for it was pulling a face and giving me attitude. Read moreAfter writing a negative review, a week later I have seen the member of staff actually resolved this with me and explained the situation, apologised and we had a chat. She explained the situation and maybe I wasn’t as understanding so I also apologised.
Thank you to Starbucks too for resolving this so positively and to the member of staff for being so understanding to why I said what I said, apologising and us now having a good relationship.
