I don’t often visit McDonalds and the experience today, has reminded me why. After a long and stressful day then having to endure trying to find shoes for a teenager, my son requested a Maccies. So we joined the slug trail queue in the most ludicrously planned system. Finally reaching the human voice through a metal speaker, the order was placed. Manoeuvred our way to pay and finally, to collection. Here we were given a bag of food and drinks that didn’t represent our order. After much confusion behind the small window and some waiting, the issue was rectified. However, during the waiting period, I observed something awry with the bill and appear to have been charged for the drink that came as part of the meal and then also tax on top of what should have been included in the price. Now, I am sure that the training for staff is absolutely thorough, but on this occasion, they didn’t seem to understand the point of my complaint and kept telling me that tax is added. Now yes, I do understand that but not that there is also a charge for a drink included with a meal deal. With a mounting queue growing behind me, I left with the order, having paid the extra amount but really wasn’t in the frame of mind to continue the debate while angry Maccies fans slavered in wait for their “food.” After returning home and opening the bag, I really should insist that the big tasty be renamed as I believe this to be false advertising. There’s more taste in a pint of water. As for fries, I’m the words of the master chef gods, should be crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. I believe limp on the outside and not a lot in the middle. Mozarella sticks were ok if you like cardboard, but sadly lacking the salsa dip that should have accompanied. On the plus side, my son said his was good!...

Unfortunately I have had to eat at various McDonalds a lot & have become rather Jaded. This is the most disorganised “restaurant” I have ever been in. Too many staff behind the counter all struggling to work because of over crowding. I was left standing at the tills waiting to be served while the staff held conversations at the front of the shop. I was about to walk off when they kindly stopped gossiping & acknowledged me (wish I’d walked out and gone hungry now, perhaps they were trying to do me the favour of stopping me from experiencing more from this place.) 3 staff all doing the same drink resulting in it getting poured all over the floor. When I finally got my food I was just thankful that they were a good shot as I can only assume they threw the items making up the grand Big Mac across the shop into the box with the mess that greeted me. The burger must have been straight out of the fridge with the temperature it was. The fries were acceptable that’s the best thing I can say about this experience. The manager on duty today NEEDS a welfare check as it looks like he is loosing the will to live having to put up with the lack of intelligence/common sense around him.

P.s I’d already started to tidy up & re build the burger before the picture

Now I am going to go & re consider my life choices that have lead to once again to eating...

Atrocious we had a meal at elk mill Oldham last week. It's was stunning just as advertised fresh and hot. It was the signature collection. So last night went to McDonalds Morecambe Rd Lancaster and decided to have the same, however the difference was unbelievable. The place was chaos burgers etc were being cooked and thrown onto a table all piled up. We ordered 2 signature burgers and 2 large fries to eat out. We should have been warned as the young women taking our order kept groaning and holding her stomach as she was serving us. We collected our burgers and left arrived at our lodge 2 mins later. The burgers were absolutely appalling the burger was hard on the outside and virtually cold on the inside, the lettuce was dead, the whole thing was dreadful. We ordered large fries but got two half full cardboard cups with cold chewy chips they tasted like they had been fried over and over. Then this morning we both woke up with severe stomach pains and everything else that goes with it. The place needs organising staff were hanging over what looked like cooking drawers with there mouth inches away from the food. The difference between two establishments owned by the same company was amazing. I honestly wished I had kept the burger and...

Visited early Saturday night. Food took a long time to come in a not very busy restaurant. They seem to have a strange process where the food gets put in the bags and lined up at the front, but the 2 members of staff who are doing the drinks are just stood around and constantly having behind chased by managers who look through the order and tell them what to get. Resulting in the order taking a long time because the food is sat there, but then the employee who’s just been stood there chatting to his co worker about what shifts they’re on, then gets told by a manager to get 2 orange juiced, then they realise the fridge isn’t stocked and have to go and get a stack from the back fridge. Anyway, my order, mcchicken sandwich barely had any lettuce in, wrap was so burnt on the inside it was black, and after ordering it with no bacon it came with 1 piece of bacon in.

Drive through. Waited in queue for 10 minutes. Fair enough, it's busy, and 2 order lanes go to one, creating a bottle neck. Big light up screen advertising Cadbury chocolate and caramel mcflurry (the reason I came) got to order machine, 'what can I get you?' No pleasantries at all. And sounding like he really didn't want to be there. Asked for 3 mcflurry, 'there is non' came the reply. No sorry, or unfortunately, no offer of an alternative. Would have been handy turning off the massive lit up sign promoting them maybe? I chose to not order anything and proceeded to wait in line to leave, a further 10 minutes. Terrible. The staff inside might have been a bit more customer friendly I'm sure, but I won't be returning to find out
