The decor is nice the staff friendly. Service a bit slow we had the 2 meal deal soup and Sunday roast. The soup came cold?🤔 Yes they took it back and microwave it so it's was piping hot😁 it was the veg/scotch broth 🤔🤔 well it was very Very watery, the lentils and turnip were rock hard🤪 and there was a greasy after taste😜 so I left it. I did mention this but the young staff just said oh sorry!? I had the roast Turkey a very good portion but it would have been better served on a bigger plate as it was all piled on top of each other!!🤔🤪. Lots of different veg. Cauliflower, sugar snaps, broad beans, brockely, unpeeled small carrots, carrot&turnip so good selection but apart from the carrot & turnip hiding under the mash potatoes 🤪🤔 they were rock hard 😜🤪 the turkey was lovely cranberry stuffing was excellent and two lovely crispy roast potatoes must have been cooked in goose fat😁 they were the best roast potatoes I have had in years just like my nan & mum used to cook. Oh and a giant Yorkshire pud placed on the top and loads of gravey😜🤪 I should have asked for it separate 🤔 well once I had moved everything around I managed to eat the turkey 2 roast potatoes carrots & turnip, oh and the sugar snaps!!!! When asked if we enjoyed we had the same answere sorry??🤔 My daughter had the same except she had the Beef which was like leather 😝 well we will not be going back there 😜🤢🤮 god help any old people with...

In a world of 1-5 star reviews where a 5 star esentially covers a score ranging from from 81-100%, this to us is genuinely a full 5*, 100% place. After being met by the wonderful character and decor, we were immediately welcomed by several locals who were enjoying their Tuesday evening (always a great sign!), chatting with us about our dogs who are allowed in.

Described previously as a bustling place, we can confirm that this is certainly accurate. That's not to say things were cramped, far from it, just a lovely place with a fabulous, cheerful atmosphere.

The team are nothing short of amazing. So very friendly, attentive, helpful and kind. Rushing around they were all clearly busy but never failed to provide perfect service. All this is before I even get to mention the food. I had the Katsu Curry and not only was the portion extremely generous, it was delicious. I mean really - delicious. All for a sensible price.

If you want to enjoy a relaxed, friendly evening, and some great food,...

Have eaten here a few times and the menu is good yet not consistent. The pizzas tend to be hit and miss as we've had underdone pizzas a few times where the dough is still gewy once I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it came with no pepperoni. Tonight we ordered two pizzas travelled 15mins to get them and they when we got home they were doughy and gewy, we phoned up we got offered two free pizzas and second time round they were underdone and still raw and gewy, I had a bowl of cereal for my tea instead as we live in the middle of nowhere I we weren't going to travel again after an hour of messing around. It's a shame because when they are cooked they are fantastic . Also once I had two starters instead of a main and there was an element of both starters missing that was described on the menu, once told, the staff rectified it but with so many mistakes so often it doesn't matter how good the food is it taints the experience. I won't...

Stumbled across this pub after visiting Ingleton Falls. After a long day walking we needed quick and simple food done well, and that's what this pub does very well. Everything we ordered was served quickly. A chicken burger, Greek salad, garlic pizza bread, a side of olives and a children's chicken nuggets. It was clearly all cooked fresh. The garlic pizza in particular was delicious, my 5 year old had his fair share of that and he really enjoyed his proper homemade nuggets made with real chicken breast pieces. If I was to criticise anything about the food it was that the side of garlic olives didn't really have much if any garlic in them but they were still excellent and not one was left. The real ale selection wasn't bad but could be better, but no modern craft beer that I could are which is a shame. All in all I would really recommend this pub to anyone. Good food, good friendly service and good value for money.

Visited on Wednesday evening for some early tea.. Asked for a table for 2 at the bar and shortly were directed to our table, the young gentlemen took our drinks order and said would be back shortly. However, another man came over to take our order, and unfortunately came across extremely rude and abrupt. We told him that weren’t quite decided on our mains yet to have the response ‘well you need to hurry up and decide now because we have a big group in shortly and the kitchen won’t make your food’.. Coming from a hospitality backgrounds our selves.. having a big table awaiting to order naturally backs the kitchen up, and we completely understood this. However, would suggest informing your guests this when seating. A smile wouldn’t hurt either. The younger staff were definitely more friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Apart from this, the food was ok. We had the mushroom stroganoff and chicken kebab.

A most enjoyable meal. The steak and ale pie was delicious, the crisp pastry covering melt in the mouth steak. The vegetarian options are very tasty too, we had the curry and the stroganoff. If the fish goujons for the starter was anything to go by I'm assuming the battered fish and chips would be great. Wonderful selection of GIN- thank you very much! And a nice selection of local ales and bitters on tap. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. We sat by the wood burner near the 'window of many lights' which in itself was very warming but too bright for us so we asked to move tables, no problem at all. The toilets were clean with modern fittings. Good size car park to the side, with an outside area for sunnier times! All in all a very nice pub with a very thoughtful menu for a vast majority of people. Thank you.
