Marinella's — Restaurant in Leeds

Wow! What a hidden gem this place is.

I was over from Manchester with my husband and children to visit my family in Alwoodly for the Easter holidays. We booked Marinella's for Saturday evening dinner.

Marinella's is a small family restaurant with a big heart. The lady owner went though the specials with us first. Everyone ordered something different. Food was amazing which her brother cooked using fresh ingredients and herbs. This place is not like the usual Italian restaurants that you go to - you can tell this is genuine Sicilian home cooked food, made with love and passion.

Portions generous and flavour owesome. I felt like we were actually eating in their family kitchen!

Then came the deserts - I don't think I have seem such an aray of freshly prepared delicacies. None of the frozen cheese cakes or gateaux that you usually get.

This was our first visit but will definitely not be our last! Will definitely go again next...

Only discovered this little gem of a restaurant a week ago and our first visit there didn't disappoint in any way. There were 7 of us including 4 adults and 3 kids (and a 3 month old who couldn't eat with us) and Marinella catered for us with ease and paid attention to every detail. She couldn't have been more welcoming and made certain we were looked after. The food is lovely, the service brilliant and the prices are very reasonable, we even got extra meatballs for free! Now that it's on our radar we'll be sure to return for family celebrations and no doubt a visit here and there for an authentic Italian coffee with a yummy Sicilian dessert 😍 Street parking directly in front of the restaurant makes for an easy visit...

What a find!! The very best environment for casual authentic dining! Been twice in two weeks and booked again 😀.
