The Halfway House Inn Morley — Restaurant in Leeds

This is the first time I have ever left such a negative review. I read the reviews before booking and accepted that if there was a live band on. that it would be noisy until about 11.30 pm.

Unfortunately on the first night there was music through the speakers which seem to be directly beneath my room until about midnight. Even after that the noise from people in the bar was horrendous. Eventually, at 12.30 everyone left (noisily.) The next evening a live band was on (I can’t even describe the level of noise and reverb,) however this finished at 11.30, so that was ok as the clocks changed , so I’d get an extra hour in bed. HOWEVER, the people in the bar stayed chatting and laughing incredibly loudly until 2.30 am. (It would have been later but the clocks changed at 2. This is not acceptable for any establishment offering accommodation. The room was nice enough but it’s not relevant when you don’t get any sleep !! The lack of sleep unfortunately ruined the next day, which is why I was there.

Someone needs to go into room 1 and sit in there while there’s a lock in and experience it for themselves. Some of the replies to other reviews seem to say they don’t understand the comments about late night noise as everything finishes at 11.30. Sadly, it’s not true, the noise did continue...

Stayed here last night, couldn't recommend this place enough! We was originally staying at the old vicarage hotel up the road but after seeing the state of the place and rude arrogant staff we decided to look elsewhere and found this little gem! The rooms are absolutely stunning, very modern and cosy! Newly decorated to a high standard with mod cons (touch lamps, large smart tv,hairdryer, USB ports beautiful fluffy towels and toiletries provided. Now the shower... WOW! Amazing noodle head or standard power shower to choose from, even the soap provided smelled great! Not your usual cheap stuff! Honestly cant fault this place! Staff are very friendly, rooms are spotless! We did have a full English breakfast included but unfortunately had to miss as we had a poorly child and left early (sorry guys, we was looking forward to it too) 10/10 hope to see you soon for a drink 👍 regards...

I stayed at the Halfway House B&B while working in Leeds, its a lovely pub with great ales, friendly welcoming staff and locals alike. The girl behind the bar even recommended places to get an evening meal. The bar itself was very clean and decorated nicely with large tv screens, pool table and darts board. The room I stayed in was what seemed to be in a converted house joined onto the pub. The room was very modern, spotlessly clean with comfortable furnishings and bed. The following morning I had a lovely cooked breakfast (i had veggie option but there was a great choice to suit all) with toast, Juice and tea, served in the bar area of the pub by a friendly lady who couldn't do enough for you.
