Called on Monday 18/09/2023 at lunchtime after an already disappointing arrival at Lichfield South - other onsite catering outlets proving either incapable or untrustworthy in supplying required food.
Arrived to find a busy hub. Confused at first because we assumed that the two 'Female heavies' were visiting Scout Leaders in charge of a troupe, given the yellow ties - had uniforms, faces and attitudes as dark as the miserable Monday lunchtime - and we only realized they were actual employees when we saw one carry a tray of food out to a table - I assume this must be part of a clever marketing ploy in offering a 'Free scowl with every serving' - you certainly wouldn't order milk from them unless you wanted Soured Cream!
Two 'phenomenal' Company ambassadors aside, my dining partner (a Type 1 diabetic), made his way to the Gents to use a cubicle by which to inject his 'pre-meal' Insulin in private. He came back to report that the floor of the facility was swimming in urine and that he has struggled to avoid slipping and falling.
Had the meal order by now not already have been placed, we would have left there and then - as things stood, reported the issue to a half-hearted server who replied that he would look inty it.
Conclusion: McDonalds Lichfield South has plummeted as an operation to an all-time low - and is as far from 'user-friendly' and worthy of patronage as could possibly be conceived - it certainly will not see further custom from myself, friends and family, and I will actively discourage its further use amongst business colleagues based upon yesterday's experience.
Between them, the three food outlets located at Lichfield South appear to be making a combined contribution in doing more to kill than enhance the site's prospects of future prosperity and development. Perhaps it is high time that all be 'put under the microscope' for further scrutiny as to continued future commercial...
Read moreI visited this restaurant this evening at 2350. I used the drive thru lane nearest to the building but both lanes were open anyhow. I sat at the ordering point for over 2 minutes. There was no acknowledgement from the staff. Not even ...' I will be with you in a moment' I was completely ignored at the drive thru and considering the time only the drive thru is available at that time of the evening. I decided after being ignored to drive away. As I followed the drive thru lame around. I noticed there was no one in the first booth but In the second booth there were two staff members happily chatting away and laughing. I thought 'oh well never mind I will just keep my money in my pocket' as I drove in the car park there seemed to be a manager handing food to a customer. I asked if the store was closed and he said that only the drive thru was open.. I explained to him ' that's not quite true as you have just left me sitting at the order point ignoring me' although he apologised. He asked which order point I ordered from I mentioned it was the one nearest to the building. Anyhow as I was disgusted with how the restaurant ignored me. I told the manager that it was quite ignorant to ignore me and let me sit at the ordering point and I drove away. So on this visit all I can say is that the service was terrible. Instead of giving Mcdonald s my money for a food purchase instead I drove away not spending with the restaurant. Of course the restaurant can feel free to check there own cctv to understand that my review is a true reflection of terrible or non service...
Read moreProbably the worst Mcdonalds in the country, when their systems are not down they’re closed for some kind of refurbishment, the most unreliable business I’ve dealt with ever. The food is worse, I lost count of the amount of times I’ve had to go back and return stale fries. In this area its the only place to get hot food of a night and good luck trying though. The service is slow, even when there seems to be no other customers in the dead of night. If I could be bothered filling out the forms I’d report this branch to trading standards. They pull all kinds of tricks. They regularly close the drive through half an hour before switch over to breakfast so that they don’t have to serve the normal menu meals and focus on switching over. It’s a joke of a place, if I could give it no stars. I mean one night when the systems were down I called them because I got no answer one way or the other from the drive through if they were operating or not, when I complained and said this was a bad branch the manager told me “why don’t you go to another one then”. Customer service is a shambles. McDonald’s sells consistency? Not at this place...
