I mean its mcdonalds so the food quality, you know where you stand. My normal review for a maccys would be 4 stars. Burger kings food is better but you can't argue with maccys prices.
However this particular restaurants service is well below any other i have been to. This is my local so I've been here a lot and I travel a fair bit so I have plenty of reference for maccys.
The staff are reeeeally grumpy at this one. I know I know its mcdonalds, there's usually a couple that would much rather be somewhere else but at this one I haven't met a single chirpy soul.
I can't stress enough if you're going drive-thru here, check your order before you leave the window! If you actually get served at the window that is (gripe coming up for this one). They frequently get things wrong on the orders. I know it happens from time to time but at this one its more often than not.
Lastly, a popular moan for mcdonalds, sticking people in the car park. This seems to have been a big shift for maccys in recent years. If they can't serve you within ten seconds at the window they stick you in a bay. This usually means your food arrives late and cold, soggy fries anyone? This also applies to app service in the car park. If you can ever get one of the spaces, that are constantly filled with people not using the app, you seem to be left till last for being served.
However this maccys has taken this all a step further. If they are busy, they stick people in any bay in the car park, and if they are all full, this leads to the chaos of them telling you to park just anywhere. Seriously mcdonalds car parks aren't massive but wait until you see 20 cars double parked on all of the exit routes and one confused maccys gopher looking for numberplates.
The only way to eat here and enjoy it, go at 3am. If you turn up anywhere near a peak time, you can expect your food to be cold, not what you ordered and served with the least of care after a...
Read more2022 Saturday 26th February @ 17:26 Just had the worst experience I have ever had a fast-food chain at this particular McDonald's location. I am absolutely appalled, and that is an understatement. Not only was the drive-thru wait 30 minutes + during an uncrowded evening but the food order was dreadful. There was 3 missing items and fries that were very clearly from the bottom of the pile - all cut into 1cm strips impossible to grip onto. But the worst part, when I bit into the cheeseburger I was met with an incredibly unpleasant surprise. There was no meat. Yes that is right, no burger in my burger. The staff on duty must be some of the worst possible, how they have been hired and passed tests of quality control is beyond me. I could do a better job of making a burger and not forgetting a drink blindfolded, and even if I couldn't - I sure as hell would not forget THE ACTUAL BURGER MEAT. You can't possibly use the excuse of high pressure either, fast-food staff need to be able to handle with this fast-paced environment, it is their job and should be in the basic job description. As they say, if you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen - which is what I would advise all staff do after this poor service. This atrocity wasn't the first time I've had a negative encounter with this location either. Things need to change in this franchise and many customers around the Lincoln area will most definitely agree. I won't be returning any time soon and I will be sure to notify all my family, friends and mutuals in the area...
Read moreNever ever been to a McDonald's before but a friend wanted me to take them for a drive through meal takeaway. So...after queueing behind umpteen cars for about 15 minutes i realised people were talking to a machine!! ( so nil points for customer service). I had no idea what i was doing or asking for as there was no board/menu to choose from. So i just asked for a large burger and chips. "What drink do you want?" Asked the machine. " he doesn't want a drink" i replied "Well they come with a drink" said machine. " he doesn't want a drink i said" " oh..came a confused voice" After confirming the order the machine told me to pay at the window.. So i just followed the queue of vehicles till i saw a window and paid a girl who then sent me to the next window to collect the order. At the next window we were told to park in bay 1..as they were so busy.. After another 10 minutes a young girl finally came to us with a soggy brown paper bag..filled with my friends burger "treat". When i took him home and he opened the bag..his face said it all..as did the soggy bun and non existent bacon which was supposed to be on the bun. What an absolute performance to actually get the meal..and the end result looked revolting. I have definitely not missed anything all these years and im completely mystified why people would indulge in such an odd choice of food and an even stranger...
