Firstly western approaches is just a pub type environment with little to no official parking. I parked just near it as street parking is free but not the safest car location.
So reviewing a pub comes down to what you'd expect, atmosphere, cleanliness, food, drink and entertainment.
Building isnt much to look at inside and out, on the outside its just a white block and inside is very dated and wouldnt say there was a good atmosphere. The rooms feel spatious and is all focused around 2 large rooms on either side of a central bar with smaller structural partitions dividing the room up.
Music system was okay, wasnt going to win any awards but it was pleasant, the downside is it appears to be linked to both rooms so if you get a DJ on one of sides then you get the DJ music and the pub music echoing in the background.

(But the beer...
