Slim Chickens - Haven — Restaurant in Llanystumdwy

Intimate coming in staff member were messing about on there phone and glanced up to see me waiting to order and returned to messing around with their phone, after about 30 seconds they approached and quietly took our order. We ordered the buffalo chicken burger meal and honey BBQ chicken burger meal with a side of 3 BBQ sauce chicken wings. The meal deals came with a drink and when we came to get our refillable drinks the machine was out of syrup and when i asked the member of staff if they could replace the syrup they responded with a dismissive yes. We waited 2 mins by the drinks dispenser and nothing changed. We walked to our table and sat down to wait for our meals without our drinks. Another member of staff brought us our food and after asking if the drinks machine was refilled she informed us it was (thanks for telling us!) The burger my partner had bought had cheese on and when she opened the burger it was topped with pre bought grated cheese. For £10 I would like my burger to be topped with an appropriate cheese. (Even a pre bought slice of cheese would have been better, also it takes 10 seconds to grate some cheese!)

My burger came with buffalo hot sauce and blue cheese sauce, the burger had an appropriate amount of buffalo sauce on it but had hardly any blue cheese sauce on it. Now for a £10 burger I want my dam blue cheese sauce. So I sent it back and the member of staff came back over to tell me I was wrong(I'm not wrong. There was so little I forgot the burger came with blue cheese sauce and had to check) and what came back from the kitchen can only be described as a practical joke. It came back dripping with buffalo hot sauce and watery blue cheese sauce. (blue cheese sauce is quite a thick sauce) I took this as an f you from the kitchen staff. I didn't appreciate it at all and it made the burger inedible. (when I picked it up it gushed out of the bottom leaving a large pool in my basket) at that point I stood up and walked out. At no point during my time in the restraint did I get an apology. NEVER GO TO SLIM CHICKENS.

Beware of the scams, we had a family of 8 wanting to eat, First scam was no veggie options available and no alternative option, so we ended up having to pay full price for a chicken tenders and salad meal which obviously had no chicken on, we asked if we could have garlic bread as a substitute, but they said no due to stock levels( hilarious really) just when we thought that was bad enough we then got to drinks, We choose the meals that had refillable drinks, but then get told the drinks machine was out of order so we were given fizzy drink cans, when asked if we could get another one, same answer was no due to stock levels, So we had to buy again at £3!! Very poor customer service, clearly out to make as much profit as possible, Shame because other than that the food is really nice, very expensive, but is nice and...

Had a great visit to Slim Chickens whilst staying at Haven but be aware that it's very expensive for a fast food place!!! We both had a meal and then one side between us and it came to about £36. When you first select a meal from the menu it seems reasonable, and as you go through and select your sides and sauces these items are all added on at an additional cost rather than being included in the cost of your meal. I would say it was probably the best meal we had whilst we stayed at Haven though and really good sized portions. The portion size of the fried pickles was absolutely massive and we didn't even eat half of them! Overall a great visit but do be wary of the sneaky...
