Costa Coffee — Restaurant in London

Called in today for a quick coffee. It was 1hour and 10 minutes prior to the shop closing. I was served a takeaway cup to sit in as “they were closing soon”. I questioned this and was ignored! I asked for a glass of tap water it was warm. The warmest part of the shop at the back was closed for floor cleaning as “they were closing soon”! I sat at the front of the shop. After I sat down the lady behind the counter decided to prop open the door and bring in all the outside furniture placing them beside me whilst I tried to enjoy my coffee! By 4.35pm, 55 minutes prior to closing the shop seemed it was entirely ready to close. I would suggest the franchise owner looks to employ a person who actually wants a job rather than ruin customers experience and lose the shop business. In a climate when there are less people spending money I think it’s a very poor show....

Quite disappointed in the staff at this establishment. Went in for a coffee with a friend, a lady with redish hair saw us walk in and then continued to walk away into the back of the establishment. We were then left for around 5 minutes which doesn’t seem a lot however as a member of staff at a similar establishment, it is required for someone to be on bar at ALL times. When served there was such a stale energy regarding this staff member who clearly didn’t want to be there. There should be higher levels of training with individuals like this who make an experience...

The members of staff don't seem to want to work here. I have been in this branch a few times, but they always look unhappy. I had a coffee with cream on top to take away as well as other drinks and I ended having to drive back to the shop to return it because the cream tasted and smelled off. But the lady at the counter told me it was impossible. Sadly I offered her to have a sip but for some reason she didn't. She did make another one with a "different" kind of cream. I don't think I will be coming here again, I rather visit another...
