Crayford Tandoori — Restaurant in London

As a regular curry diner in the Crayford area, I visited Crayford Tandoori with my wife and had a great meal. I returned 3 days late with my friend and although the food was of great quality, I pointed out the dish I asked to be Vindaloo hot was in fact no hotter that a Pot Noodle. They insisted on making me another, which I declined, as the dish was of good quality, although not at all spicy. They insisted, so I said I'll take it home with me. Upon presenting us with the bill, they quickly took it back and charged us for BOTH meals. We questioned this and they just seemed to want an argument (we were the only people in the restaurant) Overheard us saying "we could have gone elsewhere" and then they shouted across the quite restaurant "You didn't have to come here, there are plenty of other places..." I wonder if the service would've been more polite had the restaurant been busy?? We left without paying for either dishes (we paid for everything else in full of course) I would not go back to this restaurant as their attitude stank. Great food (although they keep you waiting) They just need to sort out their people skills. Food 9/10 ...

Big disappointment. I went in there on Saturday. We had made a booking as we know it's always busy. We have been there many times before and we always stay for the whole night. One of our party was a bit late arriving and one of the waiters came up to us and said that we didn't order now we would not be served at all. We were told we had to leave after two hours. This came as a complete shock. We explained we always stayed for the whole evening but he was quite rude and said if we didn't order then we would end up with no meal at all. We won't ever be going there again, nor will we recommend it to friends and family. It spoilt our evening. I felt responsible as it was me that booked it. One of the finest Bangladeshi restaurants I have experienced. This is the third time I have been to Crayford Tandoori and this time I went with the family. We had such a lovely evening, the food is absolutely exquisite, the taste, the depth of flavours are mouth-watering. But what we really liked about it, was the relaxed, almost family like, atmosphere. All the staff are so professional and caring, taking the time to chat to every table and ensuring that you have everything you need.
