Vintage Lindy Lou — Restaurant in London

We had a 2-4pm booking. Firstly some of us waited half an hour to even get a drink (we had booked the bottomless afternoon tea), secondly one of us was gluten free and had ordered the gluten free menu, after already eating one scone she had noticed that another gluten frees guests scones looked very different to hers and enquired and then it came to light that her scones were not gluten free, after already eating one!!!!! Lastly we were asked to leave our table at 4.03pm!!!!! Because the next booking had arrived. What sort of establishment really leaves no time between booking. Also if you are paying £40 of 2 hour bottomless afternoon tea then please done expect 2 hours it is more like 1 hrs and 20 mins because they clearly book more people than they are anywhere near capable of accompanying due to lack of staff. 06/10/15 - My family and I went to Lindy Lou's for afternoon tea to celebrate our Mum's 105th birthday, it was just great.

It's a lovely setting located by the small river, inside it has lots of old time memorabilia, photos, books, bunting etc. with china tea cups and plates, just so, so good.

Because we booked in advance a birthday card was waiting for my mum on arrival with flowers on the table, the staff were just so helpful and the tea, sandwiches and cakes were fantastic,The afternoon was crowned by them bringing a tray of lovely cup cakes with candles and everybody sang my mum happy birthday, it really made her day so special. This was a lovely surprise for us all.

Went here today after not visiting for a couple of years. Firstly were told to sit at a table by one waitress and then quickly told to move by another as we were put on the wrong table. We then got told our table booking was at 12pm, when it was at 12.30pm, and the waitress just kept repeating that it was booked for 12pm! The waitress got annoyed with us choosing which sandwiches we wanted and also when they came, the fillings were sparse, cheap ingredients and very small portions. The scones were dense, but we did enjoy the cake. Overall food very overpriced for portion size and quality of sandwiches/scones, not how it was when we last visited.
