ELLACHI INDIAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in London

Dishonest - do not support I never write a review, but due to the dishonesty we experienced we want to bring this to everyone's attention. The only reason we visited Curryzma was in order to support local businesses, specifically the scheme Amex (American Express) was running for a few days during December 2021 to support local businesses by their "shop small" scheme. Upon arrival, paying for our food with our Amex card, AFTER the transaction was already approved and gone off the Amex card, I was told that they do not accept Amex cards. I questioned this as this restaurant was listed on Amex list of approved businesses for the "shop small" scheme and the Amex sign was showing on the card machine. I was told they cancelled their contract with Amex and that I need to come back the next day to speak to the manager if I want more information. I showed him the amount that was charged to the Amex card, but he said it was cancelled and it will come back to my card. Now this is pure dishonesty in my eyes as they use Amex to attract customers but upon arrival when the customer want to pay using your Amex card they conveniently don't accept Amex cards. And the fact that the transaction had already gone through and was cancelled ONLY because they don't want to use Amex (which we all know charges are a bit higher than other cards and that is the reason they don't accept Amex cards) is unacceptable whilst it is convenient and acceptable to get business via the Amex scheme. For this reason we will never ever visit this restaurant again, and may whatever they deserve...

Ordered from here on 20/03/2022 and in response to my just eat review they replied to say I was just after a refund. I received watery curry that tastes so bland due to everything swimming in all that liquid. I had to start draining it off into a container as it was spilling over the sides of the plate! In my opinion to contain so much water it had to of been frozen prior to us receiving it. It didn’t taste anything like a takeaway curry. I usually go somewhere else but thought I’d try Curryzma as they had 10% off. I guess you get what you pay for.

In response to your reply, I left the original review on just eat on 20/03/2022 (the same day as the order was made). Don’t give me frozen watery soup and pass it off as curry and I won’t ask...

One of the, if not, worst south-asian foods I've eaten. DO NOT EAT HERE! I ordered items that came to £24, without Rice or Bread. They couldn't even be bothered to put Poppadoms in there or salad or sauces like other restaurants do.

Driver even short-changed me when handing money back to me. I could smell the food, it smelled unpleasant. I could smell something off with the Mossala, as if the tomatoes they used were off, just something. Tried it, yuck, the chicken also was bland and low-quality.

Why would you want to charge people for something so bad? I really have no idea. The only way to either shut these places down or put it to them straight is to complain, advertise how bad they are and...
