Illyrian Grill House — Restaurant in London

Wasn’t my first time here but it’s never been this bad.We were sat in the most uncomfortable table. These woman with their kids push chairs were kicking our feet all the time and kids were screaming both sides. I understand you can’t make them be quiet but at least organise your space In a way that couples can enjoy their food and time without listening to some kids crying during all our time there . Futthermore we were fasting both me and my partner and we waited 30 minutes for a pre cooked starter , cause I don’t think they make fli in the moment. Meanwhile some big brother celebrity was served food and drinks the minute he sat down , even though we came way before him. Afterwards the lovely waiter moved us to a different table for us to be more comfortable, and the manager organizer owner whatever he is , decided to move us back to were we were sat, for a big table that never came till we left. I worked In hospitality myself and I know how a business it’s run and ruined and this manager , doesn’t know how to respect his customers. In addition we decided to take out rest of the food with us , as we couldn’t wait to leave the kindergarten, and I saw that my sides that I ordered were missing. At this point I decided to write this massive review , even though it might just be ignored due to it being run by private owners , at least you guys get a lesson on how to treat people equally and be more mindful in your hospitality culture that it’s our best attribute as a culture.

I recently dined at Illyrian Grill House with friends, attracted by its beautifully designed interior and promising ambiance. However, despite the impressive décor and investment in the restaurant's aesthetics, our experience was severely let down by the service and food quality.

The service was notably slow. We were seated before noon, yet our mains did not arrive until after 13:00. This considerable delay in serving the food was a major downside of our visit.

Regarding the dishes, the Ribeye steak, ordered medium rare, was particularly disappointing. It was not only served cold but also extremely chewy, undermining the quality expected from such a cut of meat. The texture was unpleasantly tough, detracting significantly from the dining experience.

Additionally, the burger, also taking over an hour to be served, contributed to our dissatisfaction with the service's pace.

Compounding our disappointment, the HOUSE GRILL orders were not only delayed but also incomplete, missing the Suxhuk and rice. This failure to deliver the full dish as described on the menu was another negative aspect of our meal.

While the restaurant itself is visually appealing and clearly well-invested in terms of design, it's unfortunate that the same level of attention and care isn't reflected in the service and food preparation. Authentic Albanian Cuisine & A Unique Dining Experience!

We visited Illyrian Grill House to try Albanian cuisine, and it was a fantastic experience! The highlight of the meal was the grilled meats cooked Albanian style, which were perfectly seasoned and full of flavour. They brought the meat out on a hot stone, allowing us to cook it ourselves at the table, which was a fun and interactive experience.

We also had Fergese, a traditional Albanian dish that was rich, creamy, and packed with authentic flavours. It paired beautifully with the grilled meats and really showcased the depth of Albanian cuisine. I also really enjoyed the baklava, which I believe had pumpkin inside—a nice twist!

We had a group of 28, so getting everyone together was a bit tricky, but the staff made the experience seamless, both in the planning stage and on the day of our visit. When it came to settling the bill, they organised it based on tables, which saved me a major headache—many places provide just one large bill, making it difficult for large groups.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience.
