Hence, when I collected my order, I decided to check the contents to make sure I got what I ordered. Thatās when I noticed that the Masala Dosa did not have the filling. When I queried, she told me that all the common accompaniments to the food I had ordered are in one container. Hence, a plain dosa and the potato filling were in separate boxes. Masala Dosa is one of the classic Indian dosas, and the lentil pancake is filled with traditional potato stir-fry. When asked why it was packed separately, the explanation given to me by the cashier was that, when multiple items are ordered, the common accompaniments are packed together to keep the cost down. Now the cashierās explanation baffles me. When you order a takeaway, you pay for each item, including packing. Saravana Bavan has not stated in their menu or verbally notified that you pay extra for packing individual items. When I spoke to the manager, he rectified the situation and apologised. I will avoid going to Saravana Bavan in Kenton in the future. Maybe this branch expects customers to bring their own containers??? š„¹ I have never experienced such practice in any of the other Saravana Bhavan branches in London. If this was a new practice for the Kenton restaurant, the cashier should have notified me when the order was placed, and I would have happily paid for the containers. This branch needs to ensure the restaurantās brand value is maintained and the staff are more customer-focused & friendly. Kenton branch with restaurant status to serve food this way is appealing...

The issues began with our server, Fenil, whose attitude was not only unprofessional but outright disrespectful. From the outset, I felt judged while placing my order. When the wrong order was brought to our table, rather than resolving the issue courteously, Fenil attempted to imply the mistake was mine, a behavior that bordered on gaslighting.
Additionally, the service was painfully slow, and the food quality fell far below acceptable standards. The chilli paneer, which I was particularly looking forward to, lacked texture, and had virtually no flavor. To make matters worse, when we requested containers to pack leftover food, we were given a box containing a brown, fungus-like substanceāan appalling lapse in hygiene.
As if that werenāt enough, the staff's careless handling of the metal plates nearly resulted in one striking my face while clearing the table. This lack of care and professionalism significantly compounded the negative experience.
Given the extent of these issues, I believe it is only fair to request appropriate compensation for this ordeal. My intention is not to disparage your establishment but to ensure such incidents are addressed so that no other customer has to endure what I did.
