The Hut Pub — Restaurant in London

The Hut Pub Hillingdon refused to serve me even though I am a local professional teacher who lives in the area for 18 years. They refused to serve me a glass of wine and a meal as I did not have a loyalty card yesterday 19th February 2022. When I asked where to get one they said that it was a pub only for locals. I told them I have lived in the area 18 years so thought this is considered a local. The bar person said also that someone in the pub needs to know me in order to be served a drink. I have been there a few times before and got served. I don't understand what is going on there and why they are refusing locals without this card that you cannot even apply for. I am really upset that I have been discriminated in this manner. If they are turning locals away in such a rude manner then it's not as place I would recommend going to for a drink. My family is in the pub business since 1986 and I'm astonished that I have been turned away. This is the second time I was also refused back in October 2021 by the male male manager but I though it might be a Covid thing. I can't help it I'm not British but I've lived in London over 30 years or perhaps it's my Irish accent! Last Sunday, my partner and I had the pleasure of visiting The Hut Pub, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

Booking a table for two was effortless; a quick and friendly call to the pub ensured our reservation. From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth and hospitality of the owners, who are undoubtedly kind and welcoming.

The culinary journey began with the Pad Thai and a starter platter for two – both were exquisite and showcased the chef's mastery. Each dish was a burst of flavors, and the presentation was impeccable. To complement the fantastic meal, we enjoyed a couple of well-served beers.

Adding to the fun was our venture into the world of slot machines, where, to our delight, we even had a winning streak! It added a playful and entertaining element to our visit.

The Hut Pub has swiftly become my favorite spot. The perfect blend of delightful cuisine, great drinks, and friendly owners makes it a standout. I am already eagerly anticipating my next visit.

Absolutely disgusted with this place and would never come here again! I have been coming here for many years and always found it to be a nice pub with a good atmosphere. NOT ANYMORE! My farther went into get out drinks only to be turned away because he apparently needed a loyalty card, I tried and the same also happened.

Pure discrimination!! Probably because we are irish accented!

We asked other people around the pub who had been served if they have loyalty cards and most of them said no, the manage came up with the excuse that they had friends who had loyalty cards, however when this was put to them they stated that they knew no one else that came here.
