The Langley Quarter — Restaurant in London

Fantastic little spot for a either morning coffee and a croissant or a G&T and glass of wine! I live locally and often visit after walking my dogs. The lady who owns this place is honestly lovely, so friendly and welcoming! On one of my first ever visits (not long after opening) I asked if she had lime cordial to make a vodka lime and lemonade, she didn’t and apologised profusely to which I replied it was no problem at all! The next time I went, she recognised me immediately and told me she’d bought lime cordial to make the drink I liked! She went above and beyond to ensue they i as her customer was satisfied and to ensure I returned which of course I have done many a time since and would have done anyway based on her friendly, warm and positive attitude! She also caters on a Saturday/Sunday to the mums and dads of kids who play football in Harvington! Hot drinks, cold drinks sausage rolls plus other pastries which I myself have tried - delicious! Perhaps it depends on who is on shift that day. Customer service was very poor, she seemed more interested in chatting to her friends already having their coffee rather than serving a new customer. No sense of meet and greet or building up a good customer base. From the outside it's difficult to work out what the place is exacly - a wine bar? coffee bar? cafe? I tried it because I had an appointment nearby and thought I might be pleasantly surprised. Apart from a cake under a plastic lid, there were no signs of sandwiches or rolls etc. (to go with the coffee). Wasn't sure if I should ask but did, to be told rather bluntly "There's a menu". Silly me, yes there was one paper menu somewhere near the counter, so I ordered a sandwich. I'm not surprised there was only one other customer in there the whole time...

Just went with a friend and didn't order anything. FYI It looks homely and welcoming. The lady at the till was very friendly and had conversion with her. Large range of drinks including coffee, tea, milkshakes and juices etc. Also does toast I think. Would like to improve the waiting time. She had to do a milkshake, do two toastes and my friends coffee, could have multitasked but the wait time was 10 mins and needed to go. Overall good shop and recommend for...
