The Royal Oak — Restaurant in London

My self my husband and my brother and sister in law stoped of you have a drink we was going to a different venue but we was 1 hour early we sat at the bar talking to two lovely lady’s bar staff they was both very kind then the landlady walk behind the bar and gave us such a dirty horrible look she called her bar staff out the back when they returned they didn’t lift there heads up to talk no more and we was told we wasn’t aloud to drink in this pub by the way we have never step a foot in before and we was told to to leave and not aloud to drink there all because we was Travelers we told her wear we live and we wanted to show her Identification so she new who we was and wear we lived never in my whole life have me and my family ever been treated and spoken to in such manner if she only ask us about ourself I’m sure she would have not chucked us out this landlady owns a public house it’s called that for a reason can she say what she did to us to any culture I feel Quite sorry for her as we live in a big wild world and she classes every Individual has one...

Recently started popping in here at various different times with our dog and have to say, this is a reeeeally lovely, traditional English pub, with a lovely big garden too! A warm welcome from a lovely landlady and staff alike, friendly customers, totally dog friendly, very clean and a sunday roast that you would go a very, very, long way to beat, in quality and quantity, definitely great value for money! A friend who is vegetarian, was extremely happy with the vegetarian dish, which came with all the sunday roast veg, including roast potatoes, which were cooked separately as they are normally cooked in the meat juices and a vegetarian gravy. Went there last night with my friend Mandy as i now live in Suffolk and was down for a visit and met up with our friend steve and his family .. Well what can i say about this pub .. the Atmosphere is next to none .. The place and staff are proper Treacles and the Food and service is outstanding .. im next in London in February so im most certainly returning .. The Landlady Wendy is the most beautiful woman and extremely welcoming .. So nice to see a pub as welcoming as this .. The food is home made as absolutely scrumptious and all homemade and the staff were very attentive .. Amazing pub anyone who happens to read this .. please go and visit...
