Three Hammers replied to my review posted in the paragraph below on 11/12/22 saying that they were 'disappointed' that we were not happy with our visit. They obviously like to add insult to injury; there was no apology or recognition that they had ruined our Sunday afternoon, no attempt to explain why our booking could not be honoured or why we could not have been notified beforehand that it could not be and no attempt to try to put things right. It's such a pity to have such a diabolical outfit on my doorstep! Do not frequent this establishment unless you want terrible customer service!
Posted on 11/1222: I went to Three Hammers for the first time a few days ago with a friend for a meal to celebrate moving to the area. We had a good meal and decided to book again for today (11/12/22). We had our booking confirmed by email and received a further email advising us to arrive within 15 minutes of our booking time which was 1:15. We arrived on time but were told by the assistant manageress that we would have to wait at least 30 minutes before we could order our food, and that was only if we ourselves could find a table (despite being told at time of booking that table 9 had been reserved for us). We asked the assistant manageress if she could do something to accommodate our booking as we really didn't have the time to go hunting elsewhere for lunch as that would mean we would be late for a local rugby match. She was bruske, brushed aside our concerns and told us they were 'busy'. We had no choice but to leave hungry, and that was after asking her why an email or text could not have been sent informing that the booking could no longer be accommodated, to which we just got shrugged shoulders as a reply. I have never received such pathetic customer service, and needless to say will not be frequenting Three Hammers again or recommending the location to friends. I'd advise anyone to book at Claddagh Ring on Church Road, Hendon instead. They always honour their bookings and food is amasing! Three Hsmners, you need to wake up to what customer service means! Read moreI went to the 3 hammers o a Saturday night whilst visiting friend's. It was recomended by a coupl've people, that praised their food & the venue. I found place to be very nice & pleasent. We had to wait a while (aproximatly 15 min's) to be seated, as there were 6 of us. We had a look at the menu and I was quite impressed with the menu. We wasn't informed when we was seated, that food is to be ordered at the bar, as I found out myself by having to ask. When we ordered our food, we was told that their is a 50 min wait. We had to change our order, as their was no sticky toffee pudding, which was fine as we managed to order something else from the menu. Just after my daughter's food had arrived, we as informed that there wasn't any chip's! They offered me lattice chips or crisps to go with the steak I'd ordered. I was not at all happy that I hadn't been informed when ordering, but went with the lattice chips reluctantly after being told that they wouldn't make chips from the potatoes they use to make their crisps. At this time we sent a cheese burger back to have cheese put in it! When my food arrived, I found the lattice chips to be not very nice, no matter how much ketchup I put on them! The steak wasn't cooked how I'd asked (medium to well done), I like mine pink in the middle, without blood coming out. It was very well done! I know vegetables are supposed to be aldentè, but the green beans were virtually raw. I was expecting peas to come with the dinner! Then we were informed that there are no onion rings! After waiting all this time for to not get what I wanted and to be told after the meal's had been brought out, I decided enough was enough and asked for my money back. I was given the the money back for the other half of the party, so I produced the reciept to get it rectified. Not the best of ecperiencies visiting the 3 hammers for me. Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Firstly, I am a business owner myself so understand no one likes a negative review, but our evening was spoilt. Ten of us booked and ordered starters and main meals. 1 meal arrived an hour before the rest of us had even had our starters. We waited patiently but 1.5 hours later we were still waiting. No one came over in that time to apologise for the delay. Eventually we did enquire and were told it would be another hour!! Still no apology or offer of a free drink while we waited, just a "we're very busy and the kitchen can't cope'.... When eventually the meals arrived starters came after and all the steaks were burnt and cold. Needless to say we were annoyed. It was too late to reorder as it had reached 9.45pm having got there at 6.30pm. We asked for our money back and were not compensated in full but I didnt think it was worth getting into another convention as I didnt want to upset my son anymore on his birthday. The sauces arrived for the steaks they ended up in my lap... painful hand and legs but fortunately no lasting injuries but my top was ruined.
