Busy on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of seating outdoors, only couple of tables with umbrella on sunny day. Good food, prompt service. Dogs welcome, but only outside. A couple of tables inside. Ice cream available for hot days. Next to kids playground on one side, cricket field on the otherside. Two carparks and is free. Good place to walk dogs too.

Original review is still below. However I change the review to 3 stars. After ordering the food on deliveroo (jumbo hotdog and chicken schwarma deal) I have to say the food was 5 stars and delicious!!! Meat is perfect, portions are great and its amazing value. Lovely Israeli style food! If this was my only experience it would have 5 stars, but because the attitude and experience in person was very rude it will have a 3 star.

Previous review Heard decent things about the cafe so went at around 2.30pm to check it out whilst walking a friends dog. I asked a waiter how I order as I had my dog and without properly looking at me mumbled something about tying the dog up and ordering inside. Seemed like I was bothering him asking him a question. After a few minutes I tied up my friends dog and went in to order. I asked this same guy if it was possible to have a half haloumi half chicken salad rather than having to choose between the two. With a laugh he looked to the chef who said to me 'In my life I have heard a lot and I have never heard that. We are very busy from a long shift and we out of most things anyways'. He said all this whilst smirking and laughing to the waiter. I actualy cannot believe the attitude. A simple no would have sufficed. The way he said it was the end of the shift (at 2.30pm I might add) made me feel like he was annoyed by my presence. This customer service was so rude I walked away telling them I was appalled by how they laughed at me and made me feel like my question was ridiculous. Even if it was ridiculous (although I don't think it was unreasonable) you don't laugh at someone's face. He just continued to grin at me. Very unimpressed, will go to Sunny Hill Park where they are helpful and friendly and the...

This weekend we ate lunch at Mill Hill Park cafe. My husband had shakshuka, I had a chicken salad and our 5 year old had a burger.

You can order a child’s burger or an adults burger. Either way, the burger is exactly the same size. The differences are that with the adult burger you get mayo, lettuce and tomato and it costs £2.50 extra. I know this because my son has a child’s burger every time we’ve been to Mill Hill Park cafe.

We paid and an adult burger arrived. I explained to the staff that we ordered a child’s burger and he told me I was wrong. Say what? I told him that I specifically asked for a child’s burger again and while we’re happy to scrape out the mayo (which my son does not like) I’d like a refund for the difference in price. He walked off. Thinking that he’d return with the £2.50 and hopefully an apology while we ate our food... he didn’t.

At the end of the meal, I had to go again to the counter and explain that I didn’t order an adult burger for my child and I’d like the difference. He told me again I was wrong. I explained that I know what I ordered because I order the same one every time. He refused again. Someone in the kitchen had to step in and tell him to repay the difference. What a disgusting experience! Service is never excellent but it holds a monopoly over the park. Be careful when you order ... perhaps write it down...

Horrible service. I asked for a warm milk for my son and was advised they don’t sell it. I queried this as I didn’t understand why they couldn’t just give me some milk and charge for something else. Wondered if it was to do with the temperature so requested cold milk instead. Again was told no, and then a second man very rudely and abruptly said ‘he’s told you no already, no milk’. The time he said this in was absolutely unnecessary. My two year old was sobbing and I just wanted them to give us a glass of milk so he would stop crying. Eventually they agreed to give us a hot chocolate, with the chocolate on the side…… and then warned us they weren’t to blame if it was too hot. I would never go back based on how rude they were. Missing a trick as it’s right by a playground and I’m sure I’m not the only parent who has a child who likes milk...
