Went for first time to meet a friend for lunch. Lovely spot and building. Friendly staff on that day, good choice of meals, drinks and desserts. Reasonably priced too. Will return. Cheesecake and raspberry icecream was lovely!

Proper country pub. Great home made food. Had the carvery. Beef was tender and the vegetables were cooked properly. Puddings were amazing. Family of four, 2 courses and drinks were less than 70 quid. Will be going back.

Best carvery we have had in a very long time. Great selection. Very tasty and hot. Will definitely return. Puds were also delicious. Great service too

Went for Sunday Lunch as first-time visitors, meat was melt in the mouth it was so tender and chef was very friendly. Unfortunately, that's where the good review ends :( We were seated on a three-seat table right next to the carvery which was not ideal when parties of 6-8 were stood in a line waiting for their food whilst we completely hemmed in - not good when you suffer with anxiety, made worse when the kids just gawped straight at us and our food whilst we were trying to enjoy our meal. Vegetables were nice but not exceptional, not anywhere hot enough, gravy lukewarm and yorkies stone cold. Service slow and the bill was wrong, twice! Tried to charge us for a bottle of wine that we never had. Toilets - all i can say is that i wish I had not needed to spend a penny! Not a...

My colleagues and I visited today for our first works social gathering since before the pandemic. There were over 25 of us, which from past experience at other venues appears to be challenging for some pubs to cater good quality food for. I have to say, the staff at The Bridge at Stanford nailed it! They were very welcoming, quick at serving and the food was cooked to perfection. All our food was served piping hot and quickly and I have to say it was the best meal I personally have had in a long time. I had garlic mushrooms to start, which was so flavourful and delicious, followed by blade of beef which melted in the mouth. My colleagues food all looked delicious too and everyone commented how good it was. I will definitely be returning. Well done to the staff and chef on a...

Would not go atm as front having work done so covered in scaffolding. Despite a sign on the doorway asking people not to smoke outside the door, this was ignored by the workmen so everytime the door opened, smoke wafted in. Cruet set rusty with bits of rust in the salt cellar. Had the steak baguette which was lovely, the chips looked lovely but a few of mine were...
