The Den Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Malvern Hills

Quirky place, very much different from the norm. Friendly staff and good service with ridiculously hot soup bowls. Very limited menu and vastly overpriced. Cheese scones were delicious and freshly baked but the vegetable soup was pretty tasteless and was probably made from a packet. Hardly a sign of a vegetable - maybe it was stirred with a carrot. And at £10 per portion, we were not impressed. Our first visit but we won't be going...

So pleased we visited this hidden gem. Found through a map search for local places to get breakfast, whilst we’re staying in the area. Beautifully decorated and very quirky. So much character and warmth. We sat outside with our doggy. The owners were very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area. Pre-arranged afternoon tea for 5 of us. Excellent selection of delicate sandwiches, freshly made and a good selection of fruit scones (with strawberry jam & cream!) and a variety of homemade cakes. All very tasty. Table setting was prettily done with fresh flowers and fine china and the Den itself was warm, cosy & welcoming on a very grey & damp afternoon. Thank you to the Den team...
