Really nice food and decent service. Place feels like a small pub with kitchen. Dress and expect accordingly. Charming rural local Indian for the area. When ordering a curry they ask you the heat level you want, which is great if you like either good hot food or avoid it and this allows you to be more adventurous but ask for a mild version. Atmosphere is lacking as it's quiet with no music or anything on a Saturday night but again see the previous point of the fact it's a local pub/Indian for a rural area.

We popped in for a pint Saturday after noticing the Now Open sign up. First thing that hit us was the smell of Indian cuisine. The next thing I know we've got a table full of food in the beer garden and a very, very happy and content Simon. Excellent. We will be back within days not weeks.

Disappointed about our experience. My other half and i being the only customers in the pub. On a Sunday evening too. Upon leaving, we were walking past the kitchen window where we noticed two huge pots of rice in water on the window sill, still uncovered. We ordered our food (scampi and fish) as it came out there was no tartar sauce with the meals dispite the menu saying otherwise, we had to wait a good while at the bar to tell someone we didn't have any too. After finishing our food we had desserts (créme brulee and a crumble) the brulee was nice, but the crumble was burnt black on the top and tasted like it had been microwaved, due to the temperature of the apples inside (water in the apples and the liquid in the dish being exceptionally hot). All while there was children (boy & girl) of the owner (from what he said) running around screaming, and banging tables playing 'snap'. Both kids went into both male and female toilets too. On finishing what we could, it took a good while standing at the bar to pay we even had to call the pub landline just to get someone's attention. Left feeling sick and actually really surprised about it as the exterior promises a gastro style pub with higher prices but better quality food and service. We live locally and have never been before and, regretably, we can honestly say we won't be coming back after that. Very disappointed about...

The food and quality of service of this quaint family pub is above and beyond expectation. We arrived unannounced as a party of 9 adults and 4 children, upon arrival we was greeted by the owner in a warm and friendly way. Once we were seated and organised we browsed the menu which had many mouth watering options for us to choose from. As we were a large party and had several orders the owner offered to take the kids order first and get it cook early so they were not waiting too long, once all orders had been placed the food started to be delivered to our tables in a timely manner and it was exceptional. The food was all fresh cooked and made with real passion, I had the jerk chicken (pictured below) and a special request order of holumi fries which the chef kindly made especially for me (these should be on the menu as a starter, they are amazing). After the main course many of us ordered dessert which was also amazing. All in all the experience, quality of service and the food was really exceptional and I will absolutely be returning in the future. My compliments to the chef...

Booked a table for Sunday Lunch for 4 adults, there was only one other table of diners, waited ages for our meals in a very cold dining room (Yes we all kept our coats on). When our food arrived I was amazed to see my friends "Sunday Roast" the Yorkshire puds where as flat as a pancake, and as black and hard as coal, the beef was not any better as tough as old boots, the veg was a pile of mush and the "rich gravy" looked like water and tasted the same (couldn't believe they had the nerve to serve this) . Thank god I thought as I tucked into my burger, alas it was no better, edible if very hungry, none of the food was good, over priced and we were all so disappointed, we have voted this the WORST SUNDAY LUNCH IN BRITAIN. Had give 1 star to post, but really did not...
