Very poor experience and would give less stars if I could. Got to the Cafe at 6:20pm, 40 mins before time of closing. We ordered via the automated computer screen, took our table number and sat down. The lady on the counter approached us and asked if we were the table that had ordered the burger. We had and were then told that it was "getting a bit late", the staff "were going to be going soon" and they had "started cleaning" so if I could choose something else instead. I was surprised and disappointed as it seemed pretty unprofessional but I didn't want to be a pain so I asked for a cheese and onion toastie. I asked for the difference to be refunded but was told that the lady on the till couldn't do refunds to cards. She offered to provide me with change which I accepted (having paid on card I just wanted the difference back). When the food did arrive the main and the dessert were brought together, with custard down the outside of the bowl. Bringing them out together meant that by the time we got to the dessert it was stone cold. The toastie itself was burnt but the inside was surprisingly raw...I'm not sure how they managed that. The onions weren't cooked at all. Half way through we realised my partner's milkshake hadn't been brought out so I asked about this with the lady on the till. She looked at me surprised and said "we don't provide milkshakes" I stared at her for at least ten seconds confused and then she continued "Oh if you ordered on the machine that's wrong. We don't do milkshakes and I keep trying to get it removed. Just help yourself to a bottle of juice or water or something"...We ate the food, didn't bother to mention the second price difference between the milkshake and bottle of Oasis and promptly left. Awful experience. If you're open until 7pm, you should treat the customers that come in at 6:20pm just as you would for customers that come at 10:05am, our custom and money is still worth the same. Read moreVisited today. Placed our order on the electronic ordering screen. They had no numbers for the tables. Once we found a table we were told that the food that we selected was not available, we had to go back to the till to order something else which came to less than what we had ordered before. There should have been a £2 refund but the young man who served me offered me a free drink? I just wanted my money back. He said that was too complicated and could not do me a refund. We found a dirty table, there was no one cleaning tables or taking any of the dirty plates away. The coffee machines were filthy and there was no servilletes or clean cutlery, everything felt filthy and unkempt. The fish and chips and mushy peas was of poor quality, my chips were burnt and the mushy peas were brown and hard like bullets, my husband's jacket potato and tuna was better than my meal. There was no milk in the coffee machine. They closed half of the restaurant for cleaning purposes but the few tables that were available were covered on dirty crockery and no one came out to clean up or to wipe the tables clean. This was certainly our last visit to this cafe. Sadly it is a poor reflection on Morrisons supermarket. Food Standards should pay them a visit. Do not waste your money,...
Read moreTerrible... Walked in early doors around 9am and ordered via there self order screen on the way in, Got our table number, Paid, No receipt given as there was no paper. Sat at a table and put our number in the middle of the table as you do. While we was waiting for our order we noticed a guy who was sat waiting at least half an hour for his food and we could see the frustration on his face just for a cooked breakfast. The waitress came out numerous times shouting out numbers but not the right orders. She must of thought she was shouting numbers at a bingo hall because she would of been good that. One table ordered meat free and they brought out full meat breakfast, we could see the insult look on there face's that they were not happy. Surely you can't get that wrong. It must of took at least half an hour just for our food and even then it was cold. No drinks came out with our food so I had to go back up and get it. The guy we mentioned earlier still not got his breakfast. There was no organisation, no communication and most definitely the staff was not bothered. We will definitely not be going again.
