The Marston Green Tavern — Restaurant in Metropolitan Borough of Solihull

Positive things first. The staff are very nice and pleasant, and the young girl waitressing was lovely. Nice big car park at the back. The ribs were nice.

Unfortunately that's about the only positives. The steak was tasteless and chewy, the chips were dry and tasteless. Ordered mains at the bar, then ordered extra drinks and sides on the app. We waited about 25 minutes, we had finished our meals by then and still nothing. My partner had to get up and ask for them, then they were brought over.

I waited a little longer and then had to get up to ask where the kids Desserts were as we had finished eating for about half an hour, and still no sign. I could understand if they were busy, but there were only 3 other tables eating, and two of those had finished their meals.

It also says kids eat for £1 Mon - Friday til 7pm. We were in that time frame but told we couldn't have the deal? Not sure why?

As I said, staff are very pleasant but the service was shocking. And the food was just OK. £50...

Upon arriving it was very busy we found a table and ordered. I then attempted to use the disabled toilets which were very unusable and dirty, to which I reported to staff who then just put an out of order sign up. We were not told a wait time on the food and it arrived after 35 minutes and even then the food was wrong. My husband had the grilled chicken which was not marinaded, the veg were not in the garlic dressing and the rice was clumped together like it had been heated too long. I had the steak and chicken with salad instead of chips and asked for no onion or dressing. It arrived with half a chicken breast onion and dressing on the salad therefore I sent it back. The new meal that was presented had 4 pieces of lettuce and 2 burger slices of tomato. The steak had been cooked in the marychef oven and was so tough it was inedible. Overall I would not recommend this place it is the worst sizzling I have...

I don't usually write review's but after going there for the first time after many years it was a shock to see just how much the place had changed from a scruffy old pub full of local drunks into a modern, clean.family friendly place to spend time which includes multiple sections from the bar with pool table and darts , Another section has a restaurant with great food including offers such as 2 adult Mains for price of one as well as kids est free. There is now even a new outdoor seating area with many separate huts for outdoor rating and all lovely lighting and outdoor heating. There are plenty of clean well looked after bathrooms plus disco nights and so on not to mention the whole building outside has JUST BEEN REEFUBRIDGED. their IS PROBABLY MORE THAT I DID NOT MENTION SO I WILL DEFFO BE GOING BAC AGAIN ALONG WITH SO MANY OTHERS AS IT WAS FULL WTH HAPPYCUSTOMERS AND NO SIGN OF AY...
