The staff at this lovely little cafe are amazing! There was an unfortunate and very sad incident at the nearby train station today and everybody had to get off the train. A staff member (owner?) of this cafe very kindly came over to everyone and said that we were welcome to come and sit in their garden whilst we waited and the staff even came round and gave people bottles of water for free and distributed Delay Repay leaflets from the train station.
They were kindness itself. I hadn't had anything to eat so I did actually buy some food and drink and the rear garden was amazing, a lovely friendly place with tables and parasols, quiet and peaceful.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness you showed to us all today, you're all amazing and showed real humanity and compassion to total strangers after an upsetting incident, all without any thought of profit or gain for themselves. You're all heroes, thank you so much!

Read moreReally nice cafe. Came here to have a breakfast with my laptop and get some work done. The staff were friendly, the food arrived promptly and was hot and tasty. I went for the belly buster breakfast with a pot of tea. Staff asked if I had any allergies which was appreciated and the staff can be seen in the open kitchen preparing and wearing hairnets etc. After enjoying my breakfast and working for a while I decided to have another cup of tea in the lovely garden to the rear. Only slight downside was the key to the toilet wasn't available when I asked and when I was in the garden I didn't want to leave my laptop to ask at a later point. Really great experience...
