As I walked into McDonald's on a sunny afternoon, I had no idea that I would become the victim of verbal abuse. I was simply in the mood for a quick and easy meal, and I was looking forward to enjoying a burger and fries. Little did I know that my McDonald's experience would become a nightmare.
As I approached the counter to place my order, I was greeted by a young cashier who appeared to be in a foul mood. I politely placed my order and handed over the money, expecting a standard transaction. However, the cashier's demeanor quickly changed as she began to berate me for the way I had placed my order.
She spoke to me condescendingly and disrespectfully, making derogatory comments about my appearance and the way I spoke. I was taken aback by her unprofessional behaviour and was shocked by the hurtful words that she directed at me.
As a customer, I should have been treated with respect and courtesy, but instead, I found myself on the receiving end of verbal abuse. I felt humiliated and embarrassed and wondered if this was a regular occurrence for the employees at this particular McDonald's location.
I could feel the eyes of other patrons in the restaurant on me as the cashier continued to lash out at me. It was clear that her behaviour was unacceptable, and I felt powerless to defend myself in the face of such hostility.
I quickly collected my order and made my way to a table, feeling shaken and upset by the encounter. I couldn't shake off the feeling of being mistreated, and I couldn't understand how a simple trip to McDonald's had turned into such a distressing experience. Also, to add damage they had completely messed my order up.
The verbal abuse that I experienced at McDonald's has left a lasting impact on me. It's a reminder that no one should have to endure such treatment, especially when they are simply trying to go about their day and enjoy a meal. I hope that McDonald's management takes appropriate action to address the behaviour of their employees and ensure that others do not have to go through what I experienced.
In conclusion, my visit to McDonald's turned into a traumatic episode of verbal abuse. It was a stark reminder of how damaging and hurtful words can be, and it's an experience that I won't soon forget. I hope that sharing my story will encourage others to speak up and take action against mistreatment in any public setting. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, and no one should have to endure the type of treatment that I received...
Read moreI believe I might have too optimistic an outlook on day to day life based on my relation with this McDonald's.
Every time I try to make it a semi convenient pickup, it goes wrong. Here's been my experience the last three times here.
I order on the app, I go through the drive thru and give them my code, so far all good. I get parked and wait and wait for another 30 minutes for cold food, ah well.
Next time I order on the app, the app messes up and I go inside to sort it out. I spend the next 10 minutes while they look and can't seem to find the app order on the screen from the phone. I go ahead and reorder everything on the terminal and pay. And I wait inside for 20 more minutes and of course more cold food again.
Next trip it's the app again, I park at the park and collect. I input the number into the app, and an error comes up. I check and apparently they're out of double cheeseburgers I take it off the order and add a double quarter pounder meal. It has an error again, now no milkshakes are available. So no double cheeseburgers or milkshakes but the triple cheeseburgers, single cheeseburgers and mcflurries are all fair game? Alright, I order all three of those because it's got me intrigued now. I go to order again but now the app won't load, just some animation of chips falling in a carton for 10 minutes. I give up, and head inside again. I reorder it all again on the inside screen and wouldn't you know it, I got the triple cheeseburger, single cheeseburger, and mcflurry. The plot thickens...
So would I come back here? Oh I definitely will, at this point at least I'm starting to understand a bit of how this system works. I wouldn't come here if I was in a hurry that's for sure. I'll say at least this McDonald's knows how to keep things interesting, so that's something they're...
Read moreAround 2am on Sunday morning (Saturday night) my partner and I drove up to the speaker expecting someone to take our order so drove upwards to the drive through and was greeted by a worker who provided a blank expression and after waiting for her to greet us we were instead rudely asked “are you going to tell us your order then”. After this abrupt interaction we then provided our order which we then checked on the screen, all correct. We then went to the next window and was explicitly told by a worker that everything was in the bag. HOWEVER when we arrived home we discovered that an item was missing. My halloumi dipper were missing. This was a relatively expensive item for mcdonalds menu (around £7) so we then had to drive back to mcdonalds. Again no one was on the speaker. We went to the first window and explained that we had not received our item in our initial order, she then directed us to the next window. We waited for 20 minutes and on her return she gave us the completely wrong item. Her response to this was very defensive and rude and told us to go to the next window and wait again. We then waited for another 20 minutes and was greeted by another rude member who then finally gave us the correct order. My partner then politely explained that we had to drive here twice as well as the 40 minute wait because of a Mcdonalds fault. He then proceeded to ask for any “compensation” for this mistake, such as a refund. This then led both the workers to get angry and very rude and kept asking for the item back if we wanted money and reaching into the car. We then asked if there was a manager and they informed us that there was no manager, highly suspicious. In the end we got the item but wasted fuel, time and energy during this ordeal. Night shift definitely need...
