Tulleys Tea Room — Restaurant in Mid Sussex

Everybody LOVES Tulleys, it puts on amazing events, is always propular and ive been to the Tea Room plenty of times and its nice enough, cant usually fault it, staff always friendly and service is good however today was really NOT good. Im writing this in the hope management will rectify the problems on show today - which all centre around Tulleys Tea Room NOT implamenting COVID-19 safe measures. Tables are in no way 2 metres apart. My wife and I along with our 8 month daughter booked a table and were positioned on a table for two next to one of two entrances. People were constantly coming into each entrance, and at times were practically rubbing against us. No sign of a one way system. Queues were forming with staff no bothering to inform anyone to wait outside as instructed by the signs. People even began ordering from the kiosk, again ignoring more signs. Isnt it supposed to be table service only? Staff didnt seem to want to tell them otherwise. At one point they was probably 10 people just standing around - squeezed in, half of whom were not wearing masks. Food was being served by staff not wearing gloves, handling glasswear etc. Baby seats not being cleaned too. Im not using a moaner or one to panic and i know down south COVID cases are small but it felt very uncomfortable and not safe today @ Tulleys. Real shame. I hope it gets better as the numbers increase to attend the drive in haunted cinema, which looks amazing - judging by the glimpse...

Despite the bustling atmosphere during the second visit, the team remained remarkably friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Their warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of enjoyment to our time at Tulleys Tearoom.
