Went here to try it out as saw that by water and wanted to try something new. Menu quite good and prices are reasonable. Can tell a lot of locals come here which is fine. A lot of outside tables and nice view of water. Pay at the bar and then choose a table and the food is then brought out and they shout out ticket number which you get given when you pay. They take Amex here too. Plenty of parking here.

15 QUID for this was an actual travesty And to top if off you have to go and collect the food yourself I think the management needs to have a proper sit down and re think on what they are offering people because this is an actual joke The girl behind the bar also played with her septum piercing the whole time she was serving customers 🤢 🤢 🤢 DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON FOOD AT THIS PREMISES

Fantastic gem of a pub, comfy, warm, subtle lighting, Roaring hot fire too! Had artichoke soup for starter, made by a 14 year old chef ..was the best soup I've tasted. Had steak on a lava stone for main and my partner had the lamb shank..both were absolutely outstanding and the welcome we received from the locals and staff was so good. Proper English pub. Highly recommend!

Arrived here just after 6pm (in a Motorhome which they allow to use the car park in exchange for patronage in the pub) on a Sunday, however the bar staff were more than happy to keep the kitchen open. Two tasty plates of Scampi and Chips and a Cheeseburger and Chips arrived shortly after ordering. A comprehensive range of drinks, both alcoholic and non were on offer.

Very peaceful and quiet location down a narrowish lane. That said they do have gigs and the like on certain nights, it's wise to check. I would advise PM'ing them on FB to book in. Around 30-45 mins drive from Southampton city centre

Seemed to be dog friendly and free WiFi when in the pub. Fairly large tarmaced car park, speak to bar staff where's best to park.

Right on an estuary, with boat moorings nearby and views over the Solent. Despite being close to a large refinery it isn't noticeable. Very welcoming staff and a place I would be happy to recommend and...

What a fantastic location! Been coming here for over 12 years and seen it change a bit

Unfortunately the beer is terrible but the food is good I believe (only ordered chips). When I say the beer is terrible I am referring to the bland national offerings and not the actual quality of product. Nothing local with good flavour, for example.

Service was poor and mainly kids running the bar. Ordered a simple 2 portion of chips and one was reafy in 5 mins but they had no memory of the 2nd. 15 mins later I got them somehow! Such a shame. This was on Sunday about 2pm.

However, the food and drink prices look to be unusually low for this part of the world 🙂

Give it a go for the location and potentially good food. Bring your own beer though and don't expect...

Jolly Sailor Fawley.......Very poor Fish pie. Chose this as barmaid recommend it as all homemade. 1 piece of salmon about an inch square. No prawns and the rest mostly mash and cheese with about a dozen peas ( I know this as I don't eat peas) frozen veg and meagre amount of veg. We kept eating in the hope that more fish would be revealed beneath the mountain of mash and cheese.....but no we were wrong. Phaps should be renamed cheese and mash pie ? When asked at the end of the meal was everything ok?....i replied needs alot more fish and no prawns in the dish......barmaid ahhh we don't put prawns in the dish in case people have a shellfish allergy !!! 🤔 very disappointed, won't...
