Morrisons Totton, Southampton. Date of review: 22/06/2022
I went here with my mother on the 18th of June for a breakfast, to start off the day. We were expecting the 2 full breakfasts that we ordered, to be served at the same time. Little did we know that they actually forgot to cook the second full breakfast, meaning that we had to wait an extra 10-15mins for the second one to be served. Let's not forget that the food was being delivered in a SHOPPING TROLLEY?! Yes you heard me, a shopping trolley. Probably the most unhygienic serving strategy ever that I have witnessed in the food industry. No matter how many times they may have cleaned that trolley, there's no doubt that it was smothered in bacteria. Bacteria, that most likely contaminated our food. Considering, a few days after, me and my mother felt unwell all of a sudden.
Next we shall talk about the organisation of the staff. The service was absolutely poor. Food was served stone cold, as if it was left on the kitchen counter for ages. It didn't even feel like a breakfast. The bacon was full of pure fat. The staff were absolutely clueless on what they were supposed to do. Whilst everyone was in the kitchen, there was no one at the cashier taking orders. As we all know, this puts stress on the staff which, causes screw ups in peoples orders.
Conclusion: If you want to come here for a meal, go at your own risk. Taking consideration of other peoples reviews, it is clear that their food isn't top-notch at all and that it's not worth the money. Hygiene is absolutely poor, as I stated with the situation in my first paragraph. It was so poor, that I was unwell for a few days with an upset stomach. Most likely from the poorly cooked food. Although there could be a staff shortage (?), that doesn't excuse the poor organisation of the workers. The workers are power-walking in and out of the kitchen, just so there can be someone to take orders at the cashier which, proves they're under pressure.
Yours sincerely, customer of...
Read moreAlthough I’ve been to this morissons a handful of times and loved the breakfast it’s always cooked very well. I have autism so I normally ask if they can take the mushrooms and tomato, off and add an extra sausage or a fried piece of bread because of my sensory needs And they never had a problem doing that for me but they said I needed to pay extra. I was very shocked to see the staff members give no support to their disabled customer And I’m not the best at social situations and when I went to pay I gave them the wrong amount and quickly gave them the correct amount and apologised and they gave me rude comment saying “it’s ok it’s because you can’t think straight” I felt so disrespected. I asked my dad to have a talk to them and the mannerisms of the manager came across very rude to. and she wanted to apologise by giving me pictures of a puppy. I thought it was a kind gesture although I felt humiliated because Im a full grown adult and I feel like she only did it because I have autism. I will strongly not recommend this place for the disabled community as I personally felt like I was being humiliated. And nearly had a panic attack because the way they handled...
Read moreBeen trying different places to get some grub before a shift, as the past year I've been working a Nightshift in the local area.
Came in literally two seconds behind two other customers who where together. ( There is only the one big menu board at the entrance to the cafe ) so as this other couple was looking at the menu I waited my turn to view the menu.
The cashier on the till clocked he had two different sets of customers. Took the order of the couple Infront of me. Then closed the till and ran off into a backroom somewhere whilst I was still looking at the menu.
So I approached the till and after a few minutes, another customer already seated in the cafe tells me I have to " wolf whistle to get his attention" even though he just saw he had two different sets of customers.
I guess me becoming the 4th customer in the entire cafe was too much pressure for this cashier
At that point I had seen...
