Went here for the first time today, drove 30 minutes to try this cafe as I’ve seen all the 5 star reviews. But I was very disappointed on arrival. We ordered two baguettes one with tuna and one with ham and cheese. The girl serving us didn’t know anything about the menu a kept Turing around mid conversation to speak to her work colleagues. But may be new through. We sat outside and was getting attacked by loads of wasps.. so we sat inside and there was wasps in the cafe too! Was climbing in my drink and flying around mine and my friends head. When our food came (two baguettes) mine one with the tuna looked like they just throw the tuna in the baguette and called it a day and the baguette it’s self way falling apart. The baguette came in a box witch had crisps and salad slapped in it didn’t look nice at all. Was impossible to pick up my food. My friends wanted a panini but they turned the panini press off a hour before closing…. so she had a cold cheese baguette witch was the same as mine looked like they rushed to make it. The atmosphere was not it at all too we felt so rushed to eat as the workers were cleaning around us and looking at us eat with a laugh on their faces watching us struggle to eat are falling apart baggages. Not a smile on any of the workers face when you smiled at them, they also was shouting from the kitchen to the front of the cafe. When we was trying to eat in peace. Also the sugers for the teas/coffee are on a random shelf that everyone had to walk past us to get witch was a tight squeeze. Wouldn’t go here again I feel so sick after eating the food and I love all food. Don’t understand why they was closing the shop down at 3 when they said they are open till 4. I’ve worked in cafes all my life you meant to do clean down AFTER closing. Forgot to add aswell… one of the workers walked in on my sister in the bathroom luckily she was only washing her hands but the worker didn’t apologise or leave she STAYED IN THE TOLIET AND CONTINUED TO CHANGE THE BIN BAG AND WIPE THE TOLIET DOWN!!!!!...
Read moreWe as a family love it here. Unfortunately when I rang to book a table for a very special reason was informed they do not reserve tables, I appreciate this and asked please could they make an exception this once. You see our party was 10 people with a disabled person and we wanted to sit together as it was the first time in years we were seeing each other and it was a very special birthday breakfast . I was told no, no exceptions I’d have to take pot luck. I asked what we would do if we all came and could not sit together, the reply was as good as not their problem. I even offered to visit before hand and put a large deposit down so they knew we were definitely coming, again no. Whilst I totally appreciate company rules, I hoped they would help on this very special occasion. Unfortunately they would not, we booked somewhere else and all sat together at a table we knew would be there. So disappointing, we will still pop in as usual...
Read moreAwesome & very filling tasty full breakfast, lovely atmosphere, polite staff, clean & tidy. Nice hot coffee & hot chocolate served. Reasonable prices. A wide variety of cakes to choose from (prices weren't displayed as far as I could see but they looked good & other people bought some). Excellent quality food; some locally sourced. (You can tell in the taste & I asked & it was confirmed). Yum yum. Will definitely be returning for a taste of something else there. 🙄 (Only downside; the sausages had a couple of tiny bone pieces in both mine & my partners sausages. Didn't mention it to staff at the time as we had a complex child with us whom was in a strange mood &...
