Jungle Peri Peri — Restaurant in Newport

Cwmbran shop - The food is fine, however, the staff never get our order right. Ingredients are added to wraps that are not listed on the menu such as garlic mayo.

Ordered from Uber and we deliberately didn't select Mayo, and yet the whole wrap was drowned in Garlic mayo and yet cheese and lettuce which were selected were missing. This was the third order in a row that went wrong. First, we ordered in store and mayo was in the wraps, we figured it was our mistake, but we since checked the menu and can see it's not listed. The second order was a take out, ordered in the shop, two wraps the same, but different ingredients added, one with all salad, garlic mayo and mild sauce the other hot, no garlic mayo, and only lettuce, our friend had to grab his and go, so handed him his, got home to find that the two wraps had been filled correctly, but they were mislabeled and we were not able to swap back.

Never had problems like this from the Newport shop. I doubt we will order from here again after 3...

Cwmbran Store - So I don't like comparing to other brands as it diminishes the setup of a new / different restaurant, But I can only describe Jungle Peri Peri as a cheaper (price) Nandos, The food was good and large portions of sides with the mains, the menu has a good range of options, However the best value is probably going to be the King Kong platters which we had, select your size of chicken, you get two sides, a sizable salad bowl and a drink, this blows away the cost of anything else on the menu. Food was cooked and 24 hours later I'm still alive and wasn't hospitalised so for a chicken place that's pretty good. The heat variations seem reasonable, I had hot and it did give a good amount of heat from the spices, my partner had lemon and herb and also stated it was a lovely flavour. Peri peri chips had a decent coating on them and the garlic bread was decent but not excellent. overall with the ever growing costs of things at the moment I give the meal a 9/10 for the value for money and...

Never one to usually write a review but absolutely gutted as me and my partner were actually looking forward to trying this for the first time. This part is more so on deliveroo behalf but food took over an hour from leaving the restaurant to be delivered, when passing us our drinks they had been put in the paper cups and half our drinks were floating at the bottom of the bag. The driver didn’t have the best attitude on him when we asked what happened he just kept saying ring delivery. Our food was cold obviously from the long wait but even trying to heat it up the chips were just limp and not much better My partner had the rice bowl and it was very bland compared to others we have tried.
