Costa Coffee — Restaurant in North Hertfordshire

Overall i love Costa drinks. But find overall service in this store is slow, especially on DT which we stick to due to Covid. We are probably not returning to this particular branch whilst the pandemic is going on as have not seen masks being worn correctly, working in hospitality and food myself i get why its hard to wear masks, but that is not the point, even the manager walks around with the mask on his chin not his nose or mouth. Often staff seem very dull and miserable. No enthusiasm. Again i get it as been there, but can't be ignorant and rude towards customers, a fake smile and 'have a nice day' goes a long way especially when customers are being polite as i often say thank you and have a good day to them as a customer and get ignored! 😐 Only ever had one hiccup with the order, which i find hard to see as we ordered two hot chocolates and nearly ended up with a skinny latte and something we soy milk, coffees instead. When you have one lane it is really hard to get orders wrong. Luckily was sorted but seemed they hadn't even got my order by the window so took even longer with the people behind me getting frustrated 🤦‍♀️.

So good, but needs improvement especially in regards to Government procedures on masks...

I recently visited Costa few days ago, and many times since and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The vibe was super chill, making it the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. I want to give a special shoutout to Hannah and another young lad who were working there. Their service was truly remarkable! They were not only friendly but also incredibly understanding and attentive to my needs. They took the time to help me choose the perfect drink, helped me get my drink to my table and made sure I was satisfied with my order. It’s rare to find such dedicated staff who genuinely care about their customers.

The prices at Costa are great, especially considering the high quality of the drinks and food. I felt like I got excellent value for my money. Not a reflection on the establishment itself which has always been ok.

However, a huge thank you to the selfish individual who reversed into my wife's car while it was parked up in the car park here at around 2pm on 01/06/24 and simply drove off without even attempting to find out who they had collided with.

I sincerely hope the same thing happens to them in the not too distant future.

The car park is huge so if you cannot handle the vehicle you drive get something more suitable or surrender your licence as soon as possible.
