Costa Coffee — Restaurant in North Hertfordshire

Normally I have nothing but praise for this Costa but not today! Firstly the fridge was practically empty so we had the last 4 Mac and cheeses. Then I was a bit put out as all of the seating along the window was blocked off and when I asked why I was abruptly told it was so the staff didn't have to clean back there. So we sat on a very small (too small for 4) dirty table in the middle as there was no where else to sit. Only to discover that My 8 year olds meal was off, it was disgusting. I did let the staff know and they said I could have a refund but only in cash rather than back onto my debit card. Today been another visit and coffee being below average. Weak and to milky despite I paid extra. Coffee loses its flavour if not used within a couple of minutes after grinding. I visited this store on Thursday 17th March at the Tesco in Royston, and the 2 ladies displayed the best customer service I have ever experienced in a costa. Demi was so friendly kind and helpful with not just me but all the customers and she would share a joke and showed a genuine interest. Very personable.
