Leaving 1 star because I can't leave 0, sat in the drive thru watching car after car in the other lane get served before us, only to be told to wait and so it continued. Eventually spoke to a very unenthusiastic lady who retook our order a few times, get to the pay window to have a card machine waved in the face with no words exchanged. Once we made it to the collection point we were asked what our order was again, to then be told to wait in a bay. Was then met by another very understandably unenthusiastic young lad who then asked us for our order yet another time only to struggle to write it down on a napkin, this took far longer than it should of done and at this point we were sick of repeating ourselves. When I mentioned our experience of the drive thru and waiting for an extremely long time for what appeared to be no apparent reason, the only response he could come up with was "its macdonalds mate" with a shrug of the shoulders. I thought that would be it but he then returned yet again to ask us if the mayo chicken we ordered was to come without mayo (it was not) I suppose this is a fair enough question in the right circumstances but given we just gave him our order I would have thought we would have mentioned that. The car that had pulled up next to us (after us) swiftly relieved their food (missing a no-mayo-mayo-chicken) and at this point it was just ridiculous.

He was right though, it is macdonalds but from previous experience this was by...

What can I say? McDonald's is McDonald's, no matter where you are in the world. I'm not a fan of fast food. I went here as there was no other place to go late at night. Although driving into the car park leading to the Drive Thru, I thought the place was closed. This being the early hours of Sunday. I approached the order point and waited several minutes to no answer. I drove to the first window, the room was empty. Drove to the second window, there was a chap cleaning the floor. I was about to knock on the window, when another chap came round from the kitchen, opened the window and asked "Can I help you"? I replied I would like a cheeseburger meal and a large tea please. He said I needed to go back to the other window to take the order. Luckily, there was no other vehicle behind, so I reversed back to the other window. He took my order, then said I couldn't have the meal unless I ordered a drink. I said, "What is a cup of tea if it isn't a drink?" What he should have said was I could only have the meal with a soft drink. I didn't want a soft drink. The only way around this automated system was to input the items individually and not as a meal. After almost giving up the will to live, I finally got what I ordered in a roundabout way. The food was as expected, the tea was terrible. I don't know what brand of teabags McDonald's use. There was no flavour whatsoever. Needless to say, I won't...

We were travelling home from London with the three kids all under 5, McDonald’s seemed like a fast and convenient place to get dinner. The restaurant was quiet, about 30% full. We arrived and used the self serving machine to order the food. It took 15min for our order to be brought to the table, very frustrating with three tired kids. But the staff member took about 2min looking for us in the quiet restaurant, I had to go up and intercept him as he headed back to the counter with my food.

We ordered large meals, but we got medium fries. I went up to ask, and the staff member seemed not surprised and told us they had ran out of large fries packaging. I showed my receipt and they gave me two additional medium fries to make up for it. But the staff member earlier gave us a large drink, so clearly they knew we had a large meal, so why did they not point this out to us earlier instead of hoping we’d miss it? We also asked for a book instead of a toy, but they had ran out, but again this was not pointed out by the staff member with the food. It seemed this McDonald’s had ran out of most items, I heard other customers complain nothing they wanted was available.

On top of the 15min wait for the food to be brought to the table, it arrived cold.

Probably the worst experience I’ve had at...

McDonald’s a505 Royston this place is breaking the law not allowing disabled customers / normal customers to wash there hands before eating food. Brought on the premises we are told to use the antibacterial cleaner instead. This only works if we wash our hands frequently what a rude manager they have there this is against human rights and is illegal I will be phoning head office and environmental health and reporting you customers have the right to use the restroom and wash there hands for personal hygiene not sure if your aware there is a virus 🦠 and your not helping to stop this virus spreading should be ashamed of yourselves this will be resolved with the relevant authority’s

Overall we had a very positive experience at this McDonald’s while traveling for Christmas holidays. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I asked for a veggie burger with no mayo (I’m grateful that McDonald’s have a vegan meal option for me), and unfortunately I received a sandwich with mayo. That being said, the floor manager, Tom, was incredibly helpful and replaced my food within a minute. He also was very attentive to the customers, retrieving napkins, straws, ketchup, etc. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and I loved the Christmas decorations! It really shows that they care. This is one of the best McDonald’s I’ve visited in England!

The Scottish Restaurant near Cambridge. A big thank you to Jake who served me, sorted out my voucher issue superbly, then gave me my food at the counter. A truly great employee and a credit to the McDonald's empire. Well done! Somewhere in this place I'm sure there's going to be an undergraduate from the University at Cambridge who will go on to change the world in some way. I secretly hope that it's Jake. I've also included a picture from a very talented young diner named Elvis who wants to be an artist or a scientist when he is older. Maybe he's the one? A lovely branch of the Scottish Restaurant in every way.
