* Traditional Bangladeshi food * I stumbled across the Old Coach Tandoori by default as a lot of the other takeaways in the locality are closed on a Tuesday. When I called to place an order, I had the option for collection, delivery or to eat there. I had not realised that it was a restaurant. There was seating inside and outside; I was thrilled to save myself washing up. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, not greasy and very well priced. I took some home and it was even better the following day. - Order several poppadums as they are thin. Lovely and fresh, but I wish I had ordered more as the lime pickle was really good. - Try the chef’s special rice. It has cashew nuts in it and pairs really well with a peshwari naan - No alcohol, soft drinks only but pub next door - Quiet and no music. If you’re looking for atmosphere, may be best to get a takeaway. However, I enjoyed the fact there were not many customers and is great for my partner who is neurodiverse. I will definitely be visiting again!

We have had Many excellent meals from this restraunt and were some what amused by the size of the Lamb chuncks when we recieved a Lamb tika masala this evening .... only to discover that the Lamb was unchewable .. Even old Mutton isnt this tough .... on cutting a chunk into pieces we discovered a whole through the entire chunk as shown in the accompanying photo as if it had already been cooked on a skewer . I have let the Stand in Management team Know but wanted people to be aware incase teeth are of a fragile state . I shall wait for the Manager to return from his Travels before ordering again .

After reading reviews of the more local indian i decided would drive bit further down the road from the tattershall lakes resort and try this curry house. Got to say was not disappointed neither was my little 17 month old nice and saucy chicken was not dry the naan breads both plain and garlic were spot on not stodgy my only gripe would of been the bhajis were a little oily but 100% recommend anyone staying away give this lovely friendly restaurant a try. 👍🏻👍🏻 We will be back. This would have been a five star review after our starters. They were delicious. But then came the mains. Portions are tiny. And we eat at various indian restaurants so we know the typical portion. These were half to two thirds of a portion I would usually get. I could have let that slide, but it didn't end there. I ordered Chicken Tikka Balti. I was sent Chicken Balti. The chicken was plain. No skewer mark and just bland. I paid extra for chicken tikka. We also ordered 5 garlic naans. We got 5 plain naans. All in all I paid around £8 extra and didn't get what I ordered. Coming back here for holidays in August and we love indian, so it's a shame this...
