A must visit. Why?

Location. Beautiful beaches a stones throw away. Enjoy the wonderful food and enjoy the exquisite landscape and beaches all full up :)

Staff. Exceptional service and caring staff. Well organised, especially around Covid Safety.

Food: This is the best part. Ermegerd such tasty and well prepared food. I ordered a variation on the breakfast and they could not be more accommodating. Everything was done to perfection. Kids meals came out first (thank you).

Coffee, omnomnomnom. Very nice and well prepared coffees. (Feedback: maybe get some thermostatic mugs for outdoor diners to keep the black gold hotter for longer)

Caaaaaaaaake: The home made cakes are flippin marvelous. So moist, so tasty. Great selection and a gluten-free cake to boot. I begrudgingly had to share my chocolate cake with my son. It was beautiful.

Price: More than fair. Not cheap, but the ingredients are not cheap either.

All in all, worth the time and money.

Thanks all. We will be back...

This is a lovely cafe and a hidden gem! We do a circular walk in Happisburgh and then pay Smallsticks Cafe a visit.

The food is delicious and they also have specials. The coffee is great and the cake is lovely too. Prices are very reasonable.

The cafe can get busy quickly at certain times, particularly around lunchtime. (Like anywhere!) There is plenty of seating outside with a small amount of seating inside.

Having said that, the staff are very friendly and efficient even though it gets busy, and they do a great job. They clearly have regulars at the cafe too.

I also saw a member of staff being very helpful towards an elderly customer, helping them to their seat and taking extra time to explain the menu.

All in all this is a lovely cafe, with great food and great staff, in a beautiful setting - Well...

We have a reactivate dog which can make eating out almost impossible however we decided to try here as it's listed as dog friendly. We ate outside and had the option to use one of four large sheds in which to eat. They were impeccably clean and nicely decorated with rugs on the floor. We used one of several dog water bowls available filling up at the outside tap. Using the shed was great as it minimised contact with other dogs. The service was great, we were seated very quickly. When ready to order we went to the counter inside. The food was AMAZING hot fresh and tasty. Its great when simple food is done well and thus is exactly what happened here. In addition to out meals we couldn't resist taking away some of the delicious cakes on display for an...

We loved our return visit to Smallsticks this afternoon. We took a walk from Happisburgh to Cart Gap and decided on a nice hot drink and piece of cake before turning back again. This cafe is dog friendly with sea huts outside, unfortunately they were occupied when we got there, so we happily sat outside... until it began to rain ๐ŸŒง haha. The staff were fantastic and bought round a small outside table and 2 chairs so we could sit under cover by the WCs. The tea, coffee and HUGE slices of cake were yummy and we did have a giggle (you'vegot to haven't you?). You really did go the extra mile for us and made us all (me the hubby and 4 dogs) feel super welcome, thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™

A delightful little secluded place by the lifeguards, we stopped in for lunch with some wonderfully friendly and conscientious service and tasted food. The scones were a great texture and baked well, and they provided plenty of toppings and condiments. Theyโ€™re particularly hygienic and have very clean facilities. There are some beautiful little beach sheds around the back for eating outside which were great to stumble upon. With a little added joie de vivre to their flavours (e.g. a crack of black pepper in their tomato and basil soup, or some chive or a touch of chilli in their cheese scones) this place may be a destination in and of itself!

Lovely cafe with excellent food! The cakes looked lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They worked very hard to follow Covid restrictions, with queuing outside and distant seating. The only thing I would suggest is to put menus on the wall outside so that people can decide on what to order before going in. This would speed up the process of ordering before being seated. Also, there could be some water bowls for dogs as this looked popular for dog walkers. But overall a lovely little cafe, that I would visit again. I woudl recommend booking before ๐Ÿ˜Š
