β˜†β˜† for service. β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜† for selection. β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜† for taste. Therefore, just OK.

Called in on a Wednesday morning about 930. Went in to find an eye-watering array of cakes and pastries, some of which were bordering on the exotic so felt like a child in a sweet shop. Got asked if I was being served, I said no and she asked me where I was sitting inside or out. I decided with out and then was informed it would be table service and to go outside and wait. Me and the dog sat outside for over 5 minutes waiting for an order to be taken. After about 3 minutes two staff appeared and started commenting on the speed at which the tide was coming in and how the car park was filling up. I thought maybe they had come out to take my order, but they hadn't. Another few minutes went by watching the men working on putting the fairground together until I realised no table service was coming my way. I got up and left. Walked around Blakeney for half an hour and passed several other very nice coffee and deli outlets. Fortunatley for Two Magpies, I had been lured in by their fine selection and wanted to try the Morrocan role, so went back for another attempt at gaining the goods. On this occasion I opted for takeaway as everything was at least Β£1 cheaper than eating in! This time service was better and order taken within 30 seconds. Then I had to wait for 5 minutes for the coffee because the ticket hadn't gone through to the chap on coffee making duties (I think they call them baristas).πŸ™„

Eventually, I gained my required products and left to sit on a harbour bench and sample the delights. Pastry on the Morrocan role was flaky and kind of chewy which reminded me of Baklava pastry. Still, it was very yummy and I made every flaky crumb last as long as possible for the Β£3.75. Regular Americano was good. A Nice blend and right temperature. Β£6.75 for a sausage roll type pastry and a small coffee... VFM?

The selection and look of the produce is exceptional. Could have eaten it all! Hard to choose one thing for FOMO.

They just need to wake up when it comes to service and focus. Too many conversations going on about non-work related topics. How many others have walked off?

Plenty of seating inside a nicely decored restaurant. About 6 tables outside overlooking the harbour and car park. Dogs are welcome to go in.

I would probably go again when...

2 children and a toddler, myself and my daughter went to this unfriendly Cafe! We queued to request 2 Cakes and 2 bacon rolls, which we wanted to eat inside because of wasps. Almost got a telling off for not realising that it was table service if you sat inside. We were served with staff who was very condescending, we felt most uncomfortable through the whole experience. I asked for an extra hot Latte which came luke warm, my daughter had a cup cake which was stale and we had to send back … the staff were not happy when we said it was stale. I didn’t dare tell them my coffee was cold. For 2 Bacon baps 1 carrot cake I doughnut 2 Pellergrinos 2 cartons of Apple juice and 1 Latte (Cold) The cost was 40.00 Extortionate! And not an Enjoyable experience at all we will not be returning there.

The two Magpies in Holt are...

Myself and my family visited Blakeney Two Magpies this afternoon (24/08/2025). We ordered multiple items each to eat. These were enjoyable enough. However, I myself ordered the cheese scone which did not come warm despite requesting this to be done; butter was also an additional 30p which I believe should come a standard with a scone. The sausage roll was nice.

The experience was tainted by the lack of organisation and communication with the staff and customers. Food ordered to eat in (like we were) came out at different times and they had no reliable way to say who ordered the food as it was then ready. Perhaps a numbered system for the orders would make it easier for the staff resulting in a more positive experience for the customers. Overall the staff were very friendly but the system was not efficient for...

Friendly service, tasty food, nice view, good value. Stopped initially just for tea, returned soon after for dinner. Both had piri piri chicken brioche with potato wedges. Looked and tasted very good. Generous filling in the brioche scrummy chicken just the right amount of roasted pepper jalapeΓ±o sour cream, etc. Table service, so no queueing. (Some might be put off when the queue builds up for the bakery thinking it's for the restaurant) Food soon came even though it was a very busy Bank Holiday Saturday. We parked and walked one and a half miles from Morton Quay. I would happily do the whole day again as parking there was good and the path was plenty wide and flat enough for everyone even on a Bank Holiday.

I recently visited this place with a friend and had a great experience. The baked goods on display looked absolutely delicious, but it was a very cold day so we decided to warm up with some soup instead. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the dish we chose, but I can say that it was a great choice for warming up on a chilly day. The only drawback was that the soup was a bit expensive, but it was worth it for the warm, comforting experience. Overall, we had a great time at the bakery and I would definitely recommend it, especially for the soup on a cold day.
