Amici — Restaurant in North Tyneside

Really BAD Service....arrived 7.25pm for a 7.30 table booking. Welcomed warmly and told table was just being cleared..looked around to see no vacant tables what so ever and a mass of Christmas Parties, not a problem as only to be expected...10 minutes later still no table but asked what we would like to drink..watched as bar man poured two pints of lager and placed an empty wine glass on bar...then watched for another 10 minutes...still no cleared table and nobody leaving restaurant...while said drinks and empty glass sat waiting to be served while bar man served other customers over the top of them....still no table and at this point no drinks. Departed restaurant in disgust....I appreciate that at this time of year the place would be busy, but why take an extra booking and then just ignore the customer when they arrive...serving drinks would have bought them more time...its simple customer service. I felt that if it took this length of time before we were even seated how long would it take for our order to be taken and then served. Went to another local restaurant, Sambuca, still extremely busy but lucky to get a table without a booking, seated, drinks order taken and another waiter checking we were comfortable all within 3 minutes of arriving...three happy customers....oh and by the way I wonder if my drinks are still on the bar waiting...

We had our wedding at this absolutely gorgeous venue, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the unforgettable experience they gave us. From start to finish, everything was perfect – the staff went above and beyond to cater to our every need, embracing both our Greek and Pakistani traditions with such genuine warmth and respect. The food was phenomenal, the ambiance was magical, and the service was exceptional. What truly touched us was how involved the team was – even dancing with us as we celebrated our special day! Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and they made us feel so cared for throughout the entire process.

Fancied a nice steak ,had not been to Amici for a long time so thought I would give it a try Place was quieter than I thought it would be for Saturday night ,staff not very attentive re ordering ,when we did get attention things started to get better had starters ,mains arrived but no one had replaced the used cutlery from starter so we had to take it from other empty tables , Ordered Fillet steak with salad and peppercorn sauce steak had been well battered and the sauce was salty to the extreme when we mentioned this to to waitress ,we were told they do not use salt in the sauce that is why they put salt on the table ,not the best of reply’s under the situation, totally spoilt the evening we will NOT be calling back to Amici Forest hall any time in the...
