Not impressed! My mum had an incident with her car on the darkest part of the A38. She didn't want to sit in the car because there was no lay-by and she was surrounded by lorries whizzing past. She walked for about half an hour in what felt like -10degrees. She knocked on the door at McDonalds, clearly distressed, crying and freezing cold, wondering if she could just stand in the doorway, whilst she warmed up and waited for help. However, they gave her no sympathy, and said that she couldn't come in. They then proceeded to say "you can walk through the drive through and get a drink though", which was not helpful, almost like they were trying to joke about a serious situation. My mum is a nurse working for the NHS and on her one day off, she drove 80miles up to Derbyshire to deliver some home cooked food to her elderly mother. We understand that there are strict rules due to the restrictions of COVID-19 however, she was clearly distressed and they could be more lenient considering that her tyre basically just blew up in the middle of a motorway, far from home. Yes, we're not supposed to be in restaurant's, however, this was an emergency, and the fact that they refused to help her was not acceptable. No one should be dismissed, when they are upset and...
Read moreThird times the messed up charm. You may assume it's just bad luck or perhaps someone is just having an off day. But this last visit has ensured that the kids little junk food treat will be found elsewhere from now on. I'll explain just the fun things from the last visit.
How exactly do you think a seven year old feels when she gets home to find her chicken nugget happy meal doesn't contain any nuggets? Yep... not too happy. Almost inconsolable after she'd earned her little reward at swimming. On the plus side they put two identical toys in the box. How about if your large fries looked like the ones in the photo? Maybe you enjoy mixing your own large milkshake to find any hint of flavour. It kept my son busy for several minutes. Perhaps you enjoy waiting at the order point for nearly ten minutes whilst other vehicles just sail past in the other lane?
I don't often complain but when my children are affected I'm compelled to do at least something about it. In this case it's to warn other parents that they may well regret treating their children. Next...
Read moreOrdered large milkshake, paid at the smart screen. Member of staff informed me that the milkshake machine was broken and then just ended the transaction as though the expectation was that I would just walk away without a refund. After prompting the member of staff for a solution to this, I was met with a blank stare. I suggested that if I could have a hot chocolate and be refunded the extra money (50p) then all would be well. The member of staff made the hot chocolate and then informed me that they couldn't refund the money because it was only 30p... At this point I'd had enough and asked for a full refund. A manager then appeared and with an air of one putting up with an unpleasant and foolish customer refunded me the amount for a small milkshake... I then had ask to be refunded again where I was refunded the further 20p.. Didn't get my drink, felt like I was being robbed and worst of all made to feel like I was the...
