Came as a party of 9, mix of adults and children to celebrate Fathers Day with their new ploughman's lunch afternoon tea. On arrival was greeted warmly, the food consisted of ham, cheeses, bread rolls, homemade sausage rolls , scotch egg and pork pie and pickles followed by scone, jam and cream, food was plentiful and absolutely delicious, tea was topped up regularly when requested. Staff were very friendly welcoming and accommodating, all in all extremely good value for money and a very enjoyable afternoon, would definitely come again and would recommend .

Love it here people are friendly and food and cakes are amazing, cooked to order so may have to wait a while but you know it's fresh

Visited today. This was our 3rd visit in approximately 6 weeks. We have visited often over many years and always be extremely happy with the quality of the food, the service and atmosphere. Unfortunately, on these recent visits, this has not been the case. The service has been ridiculously slow, on 2 occasions waiting almost an hour for food to be brought out, nothing complicated, a baked potato and bacon sandwich. What makes it even more disappointing is that drinks and cakes are served efficiently, within 5 mins usually, and then is such a ridiculous wait for the hot food to come out. We won't be visiting again for a while which is a shame because we like to browse the shops and garden centre. I think staff need to reevaluate their service procedures, especially the kitchen staff. Also, those front of house need to be more open about waiting times if there is a delay (we were told that ours was being plated up 15 mins after ordering, it was then another 20 mins before it arrived at the table. I also feel that staff could be more apologetic about delays instead of claiming that its almost ready when it isn't. A real shame, but some rethinking is needed before we...

Visited today for the first time. Was greated with a friendly smile and hello. Used the toilet first which was adequate but poor flush. I had a cooked breakfast which was cooked to order fresh and not only presented well it tasted great with good quality products cost was £8.50 with toast and tea which I would say was spot on the value for money point. Was a bit cold in the tea room but all in all a great place for a great Breakfast and great service. I will...
