Is Silver Tree the best bakery in the UK? Well, I’d say it’s a contender. This place has been my go-to sweet spot for just over a year now, and if you haven’t been, you need to fix that. If, like me, you’re on a noble quest for the finest baked treats, brace yourself—you’re in for a deliciously addictive experience. How do I know this? I willingly drive 40 minutes, fork out for the M6 toll road, and wouldn’t have it any other way. Yes, I’m a self-confessed foodie, and while my all-time favorite meal might be a fish finger sandwich, I still consider myself a true food connoisseur.

I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu here, and believe me, I fully expected to find at least one thing to nitpick. But nothing—zilch, nada. Although I did nearly lose a tooth on a Halloween cauldron that, in the spirit of the season, played a ā€œtrick or treatā€ joke on me—I bit in expecting shortbread and got a mouthful of plastic instead. Nice one, Silver Tree! Even so, I’ll be back next week, teeth and all.

Now, here’s the real hope: that Silver Tree keeps doing its thing without becoming one of those bakeries where fame leads to slip-ups and sad scones. For now, though, it’s my happily-ever-after bakery, and I’ll keep coming back for that sweet,...

We love it here usually, but really disappointed with the service we received today. My partner ordered a bacon and sausage muffin without butter. When it arrived, it was covered in butter despite the paper bag saying no butter. I queued again to let them know, apologising many times for any inconvenience caused. But he won’t eat it with the butter on, hence why it was ordered without. When a new one came out it had no bacon on it. I felt horrendous having to go back up again, but felt like half of what we had paid for was missing. The queue at this point was really long so I just went over to the door where they bring the food from. I politely told them and I even apologised again.

When the young girl came back out, the one who shouts people’s orders, she was so rude huffing and puffing, and just said ā€˜ere you go.’ You know, god forbid expecting an apology for forgetting half of what we had asked for on the sandwich! I was more than polite both times and she made us feel like an inconvenience at their wrong doing! (I previously heard this girl asking where her mom is, so assume her mom also works here and this might contribute to her arrogance) So disappointing as we...

Hands down the BEST bakery I have ever been to. I have been searching the Midlands for a decent bakery for a little Sunday treat for the last 6 months. My daughter found this by chance and we visited this morning and got a selection of treats to take away to sample. Firstly the premises are spotless and so cute and fairytale like. Seating outside in lovely surroundings with parking on site. The ladies on the counter are absolutely lovely, really knowledgeable on all the products and so so welcoming. There are loads of fresh items on offer, both sweet and savoury. It’s hard to choose!! We went for a croissant (delicious, so buttery and fresh) Maple pecan swirl (OUT OF THIS WORLD) Brownie (fudgey indulgence) Twice baked cookie dough (Best thing we’ve ever eaten!!!) Milk chocolate cookie (chewy, soft, delicious and huge). We will be back every Sunday without fail. It’s absolutely out of this world good! Can’t wait to try the...

Hidden gem in the middle of the city. Loved everything about it. Location, Christmas decorations, food and the cutest hot chocolate.

So.. went there first thing in the morning today, grabbed few things such as coffee,a cake and.. a profiterole. Came back home, opened the box and started eating. Then I realised it was frozen inside. I saw the lady pulling the box from under the actual display but was sure it was just packed in beforehand in case there would be a queue etc. It seem like I was wrong and this one was probably from before the bank holiday. Just frozen so they’d save some money and not throw the food away. I have a very bittersweet feeling now as it wasn’t cheap, comparing the quality now and even two years ago it is so disappointing! Not coming back :) and recommend to everybody to ask kindly if the things are fresh before leaving.. I’m attaching the picture so you can see the actual flakes..that was after I removed the top bit.
