Garage 39 Café Restaurant — Restaurant in North West Leicestershire

Really nice interior and good selection of beers but stopping serving at 10:50pm without any prior warning and claiming it is actually 11:00pm (despite different people evidencing it was 10:50 not 11:00) is a poor show. To top it off, and again not having called last orders or given any other warning, everyone in the bar ( quite a lot of different people) were fairly rudely forced to vacate (including turning the lights off on people in the toilets!) at 11:05 despite having only been served drinks 20 mins before.....This is on a Saturday on a big race weekend with loads of people still in the bar all still wanting a drink....very odd. Not had this experience at any of the other circuit bars...

Bring your own drinks to Donny and maybe just use Garage...

Was waiting to be served along with other people, some who were already being served on the left hand side of the bar. This very officious and rude woman announced that they didn’t serve people on that side of the bar (even though they were). I asked how would I know that? Where is the signage to tell me that? She shouted “I am the sign” and stormed off. Needless to say I went elsewhere, they clearly done...

Quite crowded, but that was probably more to do with the poor weather. The food is not too expensive and was really very good. There was apparently some shortages on cutlery which led to one member of staff asking a couple of times if we'd finished with ours when we didn't have it in our hands.
